2027 Wyatt Smith 3* DE from STA Commits to OSU

Does anyone have the real scoop with this kid? Not a guess. Not a thought. The real deal. Why in the F are we (or UiF or Fspoo) not recruiting this kid? Did he try to F Joy Taylor? Did he spit on Mario?

This makes zero sense at all.
all i cna say is maybe his dad has stated that he is gonna leave the state so no one has interest. Kid can definitely play here
T. Y.

Meh. Not the talent, kid's got that in spades. I know he lives down here, but kid feels like a Midwesterner on extended vacation. Pops is a Mizzou dude, earned his cheese in Cincy and Frisco. He's one of the many retired NFL cats who reside here with ZERO ties to the area.

Kid prolly chose Taint because he was born and spent the first part of his life in Ohio. I never looked at him like the Bosas. Their dad and uncle were Phins and they're natives. It's just we were donkey **** when they were at Aquinas...

Having some mutual friends with the Bosas, they were never coming here no matter what our record was. They were committed to Ohio state before they were committed to Ohio state.

They had an uncle who played at OSU who went first round in addition to the family having a lot of Midwest and northeast ties.

Ik the dad played on the dolphins but he was a bust & flamed out. Idk how things were in the 80s but it seems like the rivalry with Boston college (where the dad played) was realer back then.

Idk what our status with him is now, but Jason Taylor offered Trevoris Finley while he was still at STA with Wyatt Smith who noticeably didn’t get offered afterwards. Finley had slightly better sophomore numbers.

For all four of the Florida P4 not to offer Smith is telling to me in multiple ways. They prob knew he was going out of state but coaches would still recruit a kid if they thought he was a can’t miss player. We’ll see how he does at OSU tho.

Eric Kumerow. 1st round Phin Bust uncle who played on the same D with their 1st round bust pops. He's a Chicago guy. I heard their great grandpa(Kumerow's grandpa) was THE mafia don before Scarface up there.

I thought those two would bust based on their anti-Mason Taylor DNA but they proved me VERY wrong...

Dad wasn’t going to let them fail like he did lol

Lot of Barry bonds rumors floated around but even aside from that, those two dudes’ weight training was at an unparalleled level for teenagers. That’s how they were able to make an impact right away at OSU.

Lol, alleged supplements aside(might be true, given their injury issues in the league), them mofos play like maniacs when healthy...

The bosas great grandfather literally ran the chicago outfit for a long *** time, tony accardo

I saw some people talking about his camp performance but havent seen anyone saying the oppo.

He made one play that i can remember last year and that was a sack to end the Heritage game.

I only went to 6 STA games though.

No people were saying it during their season last year. Not doubting what you saw. Just saying, seems to be conflicting opinions

Even if you scroll back to the 1st page here you will see links to other posts about him vs. Chaminade, etc

If a future P4 player isn’t noticeable after 6 games against high school competition, than that tells us everything we need to know.
P4 athletes should jump off the field/court/screen as high school juniors.

Got it. Must’ve missed it.

I think he has tons of upside. Just haven’t seen it yet.
