WVU didnt seem very good. Was it our performance?

Our D played lights out. WVU could have been up by several TDs real quick.

Offensively, I saw bad OL, QB and play calling, until our first TD. Then the momentum changed dramatically.

In the totality of the game, we sure seemed to have a better team, and sure didnt get out coached.

WVU hung their heads from 7-7 on, we played a bowl game with fire not seen in over a decade.

Dont know much about WVU, never watched them. My understanding is they lost to everyone with a pulse, which was like 2 opponents all year.

So, was it the Canes who made them look bad?

They're good, but not as good as their record would lead you to believe. They basically performed how we should have this year in that they beat every team they were supposed to and lost to the teams that were better (Oklahoma and Oklahoma State). He went ape **** on his QB and the refs yesterday, but Holgorsen is a pretty good coach overall. Also, the Big 12 was kaka this year.

There's a reason we were favored, but with that said --

I'm not sure anyone expected the curb stomping we put on them. What's more impressive is Richt called the dogs off. This game wasn't as close as the score would indicate.

Yep. It was over in that what, last 8 minute stretch of the first half.

That said, our inability to run the ball on that defense is troubling. Richt admitted as much on Joe Rose this morning. No lanes got opened up by our linemen consistently.

This problem must be fixed.

You can't run the ball if they are walking backers and safeties up every play... what running back you know successfully running against 8or9 men boxes

just watching wvu coach on tv I had a feeling the game could get away from them really quick, after the first score to tie it his body language and panic over every minor call just gave the vibe of a coach who knew he had little room for error.

The stats say they were a really good offense leading in to the game, I'm not gonna second guess the win the board would be in full melt down about how miami cant beat a ranked team with a pulse etc. if we lost

They're the 3rd best team in the Big XII...

They have a high powered top 10 ranked Offense in the country & had a serviceable Defense (by Big XII standards)...

They were the #16 ranked team in the Nation, don't y'all start that nitpicking **** trying to diminish our RAB win.

They're a good team, they looked bad because our Defense beat their *** & once the Offense got in rhythm we opened up a can on them.

This isn't ****** FAU or App St, we beat a **** good top 20 Power 5 team & beat them handily, there's nothing to revise about it.

Same thing as the entire year.... Defense was ultra impressive and the offense made me want to puke.

In this case, the numbers aren't lying. They were held to less than 50% of their average offensive production. That's something for real. And, so is our front 7.

I agree with this analysis. In addition, they put almost no pressure on our OL to pass block. They rushed only 3 for most of the game and hardly blitzed at all. To me this was a nonsensical strategy.

We have won our last 5 games by an average of like 35 points

We are one of the best teams in the country at this moment. This team improved in a big big way toward the end of the year
