WTF are we doing?!?

Now they're pushing back the AD announcement a week, and buddy keeps looking more comfortable. Blake didn't show faith in Manny, so they fired him to find an AD that would. That's at least the feeling I am getting. There is no reason for Diaz to be here next week.

Bro, there’s no reason for Manny to be here tonight.

100000%, I agree with you. My thought process is maybe they are trying to lower the buyout, but that Jurich news is making me think twice. I think it's 2 or 3M less on Dec. 2nd or 3rd

UConn has a better red zone defense than we do.

(No seriously, they're 128th, we're 129th...only team we beat out is mighty Arizona)

What is with the BOT’s weird obsession with Manny like they have to keep him at all costs are they ***ing him or something, like they need to let it go and move on

Yeah; we’ll see bro. I’m angry but I don’t wanna overreact.

Ferman writing that crap article he wrote didn't get to me because it's Ferman, but now DMoney is writing about the search firm; David Lake saying the new AD may keep Manny and Andrew writing for us to demand better from our AD search. Brother, all this ish got me ****ed AF.

Oregon has an extension in the works.

A contract extension doesn’t guarantee anything other than driving up the price in order to obtain said coach. Don’t forget this is Miami. We operate on the cheap

The pool of candidates is drying up and with schools like OU and LSU openings it’s going to make it more difficult.

Regarding hiring Manny.. yes I remember it quite well we pulled the dumbest **** of all time. We had to pay a buyout for our DC bc we were unorganized and scrambled. Also the buyout probably wasn’t much since he came from Temple and was a 1st time HC.

Oregon will do something. But they will do it regardless of how long it takes us. We will offer a competitive bid but probably can't match. We do have no state taxes on our side and, of course, the allure of family.

So far none of the coaches that have been extended or been hired elsewhere were ones we were after.

So many of you guys are upset because the school isn't moving at your preferred timeline. They're taking their time with the AD, that's a good thing. It doesn't impact their coaching search because the top 2 options for the school are still available. They're available today, they'll be available next weekend, too. There is no need to rush if there is not a consensus yet.The day the decision to part ways with James is when a list of candidates should have been in place and search begun. If the goal if the administration is to replace Diaz this year, then it needs to get the right AD higher quickly, so that the process for a new football coach cam begin.

The AD needs to be named this week and Diaz let go by the end of the week. Riley going to USC leaves an opening for Oklahoma. Kiffin would be a great hire for Oklahoma.

Fortunately, it probably doesn't make sense to leave Ole Miss to a team that's joining the SEC in a few years. However, not acting quickly could come back to bite if some other school loses their coach to one of the vacancies and that school goes after Miami's potential coaches.

The longer this goes on, it's going to be a "keep Manny" vs all in on "Mario" scenario because other coaches we may want will no longer be on the market.

But ESPN has already reported Oklahoma is targeting Kingsbury. If Lane were in hot demand, why hasn't he been linked to any meaningful jobs but ours? That's not me trashing him, he's an obvious upgrade for us, but his baggage scares off many teams and that's a fact. Worrying about whether he'll go elsewhere is opinion. He isn't going to LSU, he isn't going to OU, what other big job is there for him?
