Watch manny is going to stay for next year. Shoops will be DC and Major Applewhite will be OC.
 
Y'all do know it's a good thing that all these other teams have made moves and our top two options are still available....????
 
Can you imagine if manny stays how can we justify our 2022 and 2023 recruiting classes ranking in the 50s and 60s

I call bull shyyt on this.

MPC Computers filed for bankruptcy in 2008 and the company no longer exists. There is no chance in **** they could sponsor any bowl game in 2021.

“Strike while the iron is hot” you say. Who else of note is hiring an AD right now? When that guy gets hired, he can’t even have a serious talk with Option 1 until this weekend at the earliest. Option 2 is waiting on our call. Neither has been seriously linked to any other job, so what are we missing, exactly?

Imo, we are missing the urgency to get the AD in place. There is no guarantee option 1 or 2 will take the offer. If the retort is “keep manny another year “ one can argue its such a negative cloud over him and this job its best to move no matter what….

With an AD in place we can figure out plan B,C ,etc. as much as I want mario/lane/stoops. There is no guarantee we get them.

But again, even if they say no, they're not saying no before next week. You're suggesting hiring an AD now would change that when it wouldn't, and since we have 2 qualified candidates atop the wish list, we're not getting to any other candidates first. So we aren't missing out on anything.
 
Look, it’s simple to me:

I’m not sure the ins & outs of Mario’s side deal w/ Nike, but if the clause is he can’t leave to a competing company’s sponsored school, then make the switch to Nike or it’s brand affiliates & make it happen. However, if that don’t tickle ur fancy, then hire the guy w/ no strings attached in Kiffin.

It ain’t hard. We’ll find out come Weds; but, if imma be straight, Manny feeling comfortable w/ the entire defensive staff to go out w/ in home visits don’t make me feel comfortable, no matter the rationale used.

Georgia Tech just fired their OC, co-DC, and CBs coach. We sound like it's a 50/50 chance Manuelita is getting an extension.

Now they're pushing back the AD announcement a week, and buddy keeps looking more comfortable. Blake didn't show faith in Manny, so they fired him to find an AD that would. That's at least the feeling I am getting. There is no reason for Diaz to be here next week.
