Don’t believe that excuse. The money is there and not firing him has nothing to do with his buyout. I’m not an insider and have no info but there is no way, that Diaz has been retained until now because of his buyout and that makes me believe they just might retain him.

This is just another line people keep throwing out there just like “manny’s buyout drops soon”.

What need to be done eventually should be done immediately.

You have absolutely nothing to lose by firing him now. Nothing at all. It shows to the public you a commutes to change .
 
Our Board of Trustees are not very bright when it comes to athletics related things, but they love the smell of their own farts. They do not know what it takes to win in this era of college football. Absolutely nothing.

We've had cheap hire after cheap hire after cheap hire and have not spent much on upgrading our operation at all with those savings. We're out here like the Pittsburgh Pirates...spending just enough to field a roster to say we are out there.

The 2021-22 Coaching Carousel is for big boys only. We might as well sit it out because we are more than likely going to embarrass ourselves because our decision makers will once again show they have no idea wtf they are doing.

If you haven’t seen what he’s done with that unit (he very well might win the Broyles Award as the best assistant in College Football) then you’re just ignorant.

And since when is $2 million nothing?

The only thing I'm really concerned about is the assistant pool, but again I expect whoever is hired to bring some and then there are other candidates who still have a season to coach out.

I understand the pool of candidates can get more expensive the longer we wait but it's not like we can't still get someone to come for the right price if we really want them.

Recall what happened with Manny in 2018? He just got hired at Temple and guess what?

Oregon has an extension in the works.

A contract extension doesn’t guarantee anything other than driving up the price in order to obtain said coach. Don’t forget this is Miami. We operate on the cheap

The pool of candidates is drying up and with schools like OU and LSU openings it’s going to make it more difficult.

Regarding hiring Manny.. yes I remember it quite well we pulled the dumbest **** of all time. We had to pay a buyout for our DC bc we were unorganized and scrambled. Also the buyout probably wasn’t much since he came from Temple and was a 1st time HC.

You know about 3 years ago this was rushed and look what happened…

Y’all need to relax seriously… if something bad happens then great go ahead and complain all you want but we forget quickly what happens when you rush a hire or hires

Why do you need an AD in place to fire a coach you decided to move on from?
You need an AD in place to hire a coach but I fail to see why you need an an AD in place to fire a coach.

If firing him on Wednesday saves 2 million them by all means they should fire him Wednesday.
What I think is ridiculous is what some people are saying that you need an AD in place to fire him.

Then can take their time hiring a coach all they want..it’s the fact that they haven’t fired a coach that is making us upset. The longer it drags out without a statement from anybody, I side with nobody does anything and we run it back for another MPC Computers Bowl run
