WTF are we doing?!?

Let me just be blunt. No one in the administration and no one on the board was part of the program the last time we were winners in any sport. There are reasons that schools like USF, Tenn, and Ga. Tech are perineal losers. They are led by people who are poor decision makers. Miami has been run by them for nearly 20 years.
 
We are actually in a terrible situation. Franklin just got 60 or 70 mill.. Tucker just got 9 million per with 90 guaranteed or something crazy. My guess is Riley to USCw will surpass that. coaching salaries are going to he highly inflated right now. Oregon and Miami or Ole Miss and Miami in bidding wars we'll lose everytime

So many of those whining and raging because Florida already signed Napier would whine and rage if Miami gambled and signed a G5 coach that quickly while bigger names are out there.

We should have fired Manny after MSU and gone after Kiffin and signed him up.

Would have saved us 10 million.

Josh Heupel, Lane Kiffin, maybe Eric Morris.

Possibly Dana Holgorsen (although I doubt that), Tyson Helton, there’s several others that fit the mold in terms of offensive guru’s. Brent Venables was Stoops DC for a long time before he went to Clemson, IMO that would be a bad hire for them but he’s been thrown at there as a possibility.

They may even wanna stay in house & promote their DC Alex Grinch, Mike Gundy’s younger brother Cale Gundy is the OC for Oklahoma as well, but he never called plays so idk if they’d entrust turning the whole program over to him.

Bob Stoops will definitely be asked his recommendation as to who they should hire & because he has a vast coaching tree it could be a number of different coaches they have to choose from.

You're purposefully missing my point. They are incompetent and reactive and had no plan before and after they terminated Blake. Before you make the move, money is in place and the search committee is hired and on standby and preliminary work is done vetting candidates and their interest. Then termination of Blake. Followed by interviews. Blake should have been terminated when I and many others said to do it MONTHS AGO. But again, reactive termination after the FSU loss with no plan in place. The new AD would have been in place by now and ready to rock and roll at the end of the season. Instead, once again, disorganization reigns supreme with this Mickey mouse school.

2 weeks is a long time in a coaching search. Not so much an AD search. That’s why Blake should’ve been out the door after UNC. They had to wait around fingers crossed that they would win out and nothing would have to be done but then FSU happened.

We’re in our own way in everything we do.
 
Yeah, the last fast coaching search worked out great didn't it? So what is it: we need a coach and AD 5 weeks ago or we need to actually conduct a search?

Look, if it's Mario, he ain't saying he's leaving the week before he plays a conference championship game.

He's the number 1 choice I'm getting by what we are hearing.

No one here knows who's been approached, so why don't you have a beer and calm down?
