WTF are "reputation" points on our profiles???

I got, "Negged," for complaining in this post. I assume that makes my reputation points go down. What a shame..... lol.

Since we're asking about the features that make CIS such a warm and welcoming place, here's a question. What's the point of putting someone in your friend's list? I have one friend but is there some kind merit for adding friends to your list? Just curious.
 
It's where you get credit for high decibel conventional wisdom. No different on any board that uses that system. Highest ratings are always to the Jim Rome types...loud bar stool caliber rants
 
at the end of every season, the poster with the most points gets to have a sit down with the man himself....The poster with the least points gets to sit down with the other guy

Why not? I don't really care about how many likes I get, but sometimes somebody posts something really cool, like DHucks thread about his son and I can't like it enough. And seeing how many likes that thread has right now kinda shows you how awesome Canes fans are.
