I think they are hyping us because UM has huge national name recognition, especially for the demographic who reads the WSJ (probably a good percentage went to college in the 1980s and remember the U). I don’t believe there is a hidden agenda.

If the Canes flop this year, that’s going to be 90% on Cristobal, 11.5% on the refs, and 9.5% on the fans. But then you factor in bad luck and that’s another 5.5%. I took Steiner math in high school.

Finnebaum's can either be smugly right (told you so, I'm so informed) or laughably wrong (oh boy, Miami fooled us again, U is BaK) & still get good press either way.
 
We are getting glazed by the media because we have a ****load number of players who are proven good at the football at the college level, and one of them being the most important position in sports. We should be getting recognized as an elite team, because we have the roster of one. Can we coach and lead them to a successful season?

We have a really good roster. Great OL + Great RB room + Very good wrs and tes? Cam is going to eat.

We got a Tx Qb as long as he's healthy I can expect 10 wins.

Speculation is not expectation. Saying you think something might happen or hoping for something to happen isn't the same as expecting it to happen. This is a WSJ writer, unaffiliated with the U...if he wants to talk up Cam and bring him and the team attention, I'm good with it.

To me it's simple. From the moment Dorsey left can you name me 1 QB we had that could have won the heisman and an NC?

Arm, Legs, Brains, Strength, and Leadership.

Ward has all of them.
