I cannot fathom the level of responsibility they have at ~18-22 years old. I honestly liken it to special forces what Mario expects of them.

They put so much into their craft, have a full time academic load and then have their NIL commitments. Many are responsible for girlfriends/wives and young fathers, to boot. Throw in a buttload of cash that's all theirs that they've never had access to before and in amounts they only dreamed of?! Hard not to appreciate the ones that do well in that situation and empathize with the ones who struggle.
 
I’m taking Sears because he’s a Miami boy. Is probably almost as good of a receiver as Wright as crazy as it sounds. Even though he will be in our secondary. We’re kinda stacked at both positions but we need to get one of these players without a doubt. I hope it’s both.
 
Miami is recruiting him to play both sides but they won’t ruin him like Travis Hunter was ruined. I can see him playing corner on third downs or receiver in spots and focusing on the “ other “ spot. I do think, besides the versatility, him being a Miami boy factors In.

Im not the biggest fan but how was Travis ruined? Won Heisman, and was a top pick

Maybe I should have worded my post different considering you can’t ruin someone who won a Heisman. What I meant was that even though he was special and played a million plays he doesn’t look NFL prepared. Maybe that doesn’t make sense but his rookie year to me was disappointing. I think guys who can play both sides of the ball need to focus on their best position far more so if receiver is what Sears wants thar should be his focus. Not splitting time on both sides. Doesn’t mean he can’t play offense or defense in packages.
