I know Richards was hurt a lot, understood, and Rosier was average at best but check this out: Braxton Berrios led the team with 92 targets along with 59 receptions. He received a receiving grade of 80.2 from Pro Football Focus, which ranked him as the 87th best receiver in the country. So our “best,” WR is the 87th best nationally? Not good enough from our WR room if we want to be in the playoff picture.

I think that was pretty obvious on key 3rd downs, plus Rchards dropped a lot of balls that hit him in the hands. I think he will be much better next season.

Can’t catch the ball if your QB is Stevie Wonder

Exactly. A better QB puts the ball where the WR can actually catch the ball. Our O will be deadly with better QB play. Also, adding superior talent at TE and HB won't hurt the O. Throw Pope, Hightower and Wiggins in the O, with better QB play.... We'll be fine.

They got anything for these stats?:

How many times was Berrios running wide open down the field and Rosier just didn’t look at him?

How many deep balls were underthrown

Cannot blame it all on our QB... sorry statement that gets tossed around too often

When you are constantly open and your QB can’t get the ball to you the QB is at fault

You're right. Rosier had nothing to do with his own inaccuracy. Very few of his bad passes were because he didn't have time, but rather because he simply isn't an accurate QB.

1) A lot of catchable balls were dropped 2) And some were just awful

Every QB has balls dropped. What GOOD QBs have less frequently than Rosier are the awful passes.

Should not insult Stevie Wonder like that he is pretty accurate at hitting that keyboard

Good enough?

Little or no consistent production beyond Berrios.
We were 116th in the country in completion percentage, 98th in interceptions thrown.

Yeah, we need to get little better.

Too many people putting the blame on Rosier for the receivers failing. Rosier had problems and carries his own share of the load, but i watch wide open receivers drop easy passes all year, especially Richards.

Plenty of blame to go around. Many receivers got hit in the numbers. I can point to Thomas and Harley should have come down with a few.

Our receivers also dropped a lot balls that they shouldn’t have. Especially earlier in the season. If we can get a decent qb next year, and AR cam hold onto the ball, we will be ok.

Yeap. Lots of blame to go around. One thing I noticed which I guess is to be expected from a very young WR group is the lazy route running. Although to be honest I saw it from Richards as well. That has to improve. And without question the QB play was average at best during the last three games. Barring a complete collapse, Perry will be our starting QB in 2018. We may have some early season issues with him, but look for this team to be nasty the final 6-7 games. You will not want to be on our schedule, in November, December or January of next Season!

Thank you! Glad someone else noticed the lazy *** route running.
