WR position officially wide open

The depth chart also list Jarrid Williams starting at RT WITH John Campbell OR Zion on the left. Campbell was solid the first few weeks but has struggled as of late albeit against some really good splines. I have liked what I've seen from Zion this year.
Zion did pretty good saturday and it was against good competition as well

Message has been sent loud and clear to that position group:

I think we all heard that before. Before the season started it was supposed to be wide open. New coaches getting to know his new players. But somehow it’s looks like the same ole same ole.

Bolden not starting is at travesty. No excuses! LBs seem to be playing the weakest link. Slow plodding and nowhere near the point of attack. Guys like Brooks, Flagg with cover abilities and seem to be near the ball on every play getting less playing time until the other guys ***** up.

So I will believe the receivers room is wide open when we see it on the field. I know it’s rocket science to figure out who’s faster, can jump higher and is seen in more plays. But i digressed. go Canes!

Oh snap. Some accountability back at the Hecht and on GreenTree? Lets go young bucks. Pulling for you guys.

Our receiver rotations are odd as ****. It's difficult to pick this up if you're not live, but basically, rotations are not being made on an individual basis but rather on a group basis.

Group 1 is Pope, Wiggins, and Harley.

Group 2 is some combination of Payton, Smith, Restrepo (or Few earlier in the season) and Redding.

I'd like to see us play the top 4/5. Substitutions should be based on merit not on groups. IMO, King will have an easier time developing a relationship with 4/5 then upwards of 7.

I can tell you havent used your head in a long time.

This is a 40 points a game offense. Imagine switching up players every week. No chemistry, no trust, no opportunities to build any sort of rhythm. Bodies just get changed all the time despite the team winning and the offense putting up points.

Its insane, the coaching staff does what you want and you are still *****ing and crying like a little baby. Grow a

you don't even know what you're yelling about anymore. you can't even keep your argument straight.

I find people like you like to project.
Do YOU need to grow a pair, cuz all those cycles you do have shrunk them to nothing.
Sad part is, nobody here needed to know you were a dummy, too, but you let that cat out of the bag as well.

c ya kiddo

All we heard all offseason about the WRs is how the top 3 guys have separated themselves.

After week 1 its was immediately obvious to the fan base this wasn't the case.

I get crediting the staff for making the necessarty adjustments. But it's really not a good look when it consistenly takes them multiple weeks to see problems that are immediately appararent to people who can't even watch practices.
As soon as they were saying Harley was our top receiver I stop believing anything they said about them.

I don't like listing 9 guys as starting wide receiver. Stop coddling them like children and treat them like men. Our starting 3 have played themselves off the field. They are the most unaggressive bunch I've seen at this university in my 30 years of being a fan. If they were serious about challenging them to get better, put them behind someone and make them earn it back. Just because you get pulled doesn't mean you cant get yourself back on the field. Its also a disservice to the young guys to always be teased with playing time and not getting it, gonna lead to transfers in the long run.

I think Manny should make the change for UVA then review the product on the field and the next 2 weeks have those guys battle it out from behind the young guns if warranted.
I fully agree with this.

We seem to win in spite of who plays at WR... so just go with the young guys and see what they got.

We played the most talented team on our schedule... we outclass every team going forward on paper

Sooooo trash

How is it, over the last few years, that we could have 2 guys that are 6'3" (Wiggins) and 6'5" (Cager), yet neither one of them was a physical WR capable of fighting for the ball? How's that even possible?
Cager did fight for the ball, he just dropped it most of the time.

Yet Mccloud and Jennings ain’t got no ORs

ridiculous
They're already alternating series with Flagg / Brooks. It's only a matter of time.

It's also just how Lashlee / Baker coach. Lashlee is clearly ****ed that his WRs are a non-factor and he can only score TDs on fake QB draws.

In contrast I'm sure Baker thinks his D is doing pretty well and doesn't need that much of a shake up.

I think you have to consider the fact that the guys who are pushing now are true freshmen who just got on campus. All have had limited practice time because of COVID and are now ready to compete.

As usual, it took our coaches longer than the fans to realize changes needed to be made. I have a feeling Restrepo's all dog and will eat any slot's lunch. And I already know Key Smith is better than any other outside receiver we have.
With all due respect, if any coach listened to the fans on CIS they wouldn’t fare well.

Thats not to say there aren’t quality posts and points, but the amount of irrational hot takes submitted by the hour are enough to make ones head explode
