WR JoJo Trader to Portal to NC State

Wonder if staff will work to retain him

Makes sense, especially with a crowded WR room. Feels like between Toney, Upshaw, Moore, the two new incoming portal guys, and Barkate from Duke, it’s looking pretty solid. Plus hearing really good things about Wingo and Spafford, who will likely be one of the fastest players in CFB next year as a true freshman.

Have to stop recruiting south fla WRs who routinely struggle with lapses in concentration - i.e. Pope, George, Trader, etc

Have to recruit WRs that not only possess athletic ability but are also fundamentally sound.

Can’t loop George in that group , he may have had his issues keeping his emotions in checked but he always got open and made plays plus he blocked well.

He definitely was more productive than the other two, but his lack of discipline & focus resulted in costly drops & penalties at the most inopportune times. U simply cannot win meaningful games with these kinds of WRs who are playing an integral role in your offense

another one that will go and finally put it all together, sucks and wack he wants to run from it, cant blame him though, he didn't do much when he got his chance, just don't think he was given a fair chance to get comfortable (don't think he will ever no matter what he does in practice), and will we see that on his next stop
Wingo was gonna take his reps I think. Once the Duke kid comes Jojo really had to go tbh wish he didn’t

wish him the best.

As an aside, this is going to be perceived as another failure for Miami to develop an outside receiver. We’ve been crushing it with slots (see X and Baby Jesus) but who’s our last recruited outside receiver that was Day 1/Day 2 NFL draft pick caliber? Ahmmon?

They put him on the field, he didn't make the plays. Rule one of being a WR is: Gotta catch the ball.

I don’t believe discipline and focus are what held him back.

What held him back is hands, toughness, and natural god given self confidence.

He’s just not that good. But he did sign up to be a cane, so I wish him well.
