A true vacuum at OC right now and with what our offense looked like.... not to mention all the NIL $$$ being tossed around, how hard of a sell could this have possibly been to a 16-17 year old?

This kid is unreal, and we need him....but when we were saying the same **** about Cooper, Jeudy, etc....our trenches still sucked like they still have recently. Let's do 2 things as priorities....field a team that collectively gives a ****, and build up the trenches so that having the most deadly wide outs isn't going to make or break our squad since our QBs will have time and our backs will be eating up chunks.

AGAIN...want this kid, but tons of time left to change his impression.
I can agree to an extent but the game has definitely changed to where WRs are more important than ever. Probably in the top 3. This problem spans multiple head coaches. Can’t remember for sure, but think the last time we got the top WR from SoFL was Coley in 2013? Good news is Mario can recruit nationally. And I agree we need guys who care and to build our trenches but the fact remains we get smacked for top WR year in and year out

Sucks. For as good a salesman as Mario is, this is something he's gonna have to fix.

These elite playmakers are gonna have to be shown that the offense is different before they come here. Only so much NIL can do.
Same frustrating **** with Mario last year not simply naming a D coordinator before Shemar Stewart could commit.

Plenty of time to flip but agree entirely. Mario is doing himself no favors with the “power spread” he wants to run here.

Yep. Plus OSU is THE it school for WRs right now. Not surprising that these kids would pick the easy option, instead of possibly being stuck with Gattis lol

But with how much Mario cares about recruiting, I'm sure he can see how the offense is effecting attracting elite WRs. Lets see if he makes the change after ESD like everyone hopes

Hartline is such a ****. At the same time idgaf about 24 class right now. Mario got 9 months to play catch-up and prove that he can put a good offense on the field. Long way to go.
You really got faith on Mario doing that 🤨… I don’t

Yea this one sucks but so far in Mario’s regime we’ve seen him land a 5 star DB from Lakeland, a pair of high 4 star kids from the west coast, a RB from Louisiana that LSU wanted, a LB that UGA wanted, a TE that Bama wanted and he’s primed to land a 5 Star Offensive lineman that both Bama and UF coveted. If there’s anything to be learned with recruiting during Mario tenure, is that the negative patterns and trends that rattled the previous regimes are being broken one by one. He’ll close that elite WR SFL pipeline soon.

It’s still early for this. But this won’t change if Mario’s offensive philosophy doesn’t change. Firing Gattis is the absolute bare minimum first step in that.

Yet another bonafide ELITE WR leaving. Absolutely cannot happen.
