Wr group outlook 2019

based off last year, I would think hightower has the best chance to be the alpha of the group

hopefully Harley takes that jump in production that berrios took before his last year here, cuz Harley talks like an alpha but needs to stop playing like a beta
I can't think of a single impressive thing Harley has done in a game since he has been here.

Slot competition needs to be between Harley and pope. Out of the two I think Pope could stress a defense more in that role and will/should ultimately win that tbh but the coaches certainly love playing Harley

The alignment of our WRs is not maximizing the talent pool. Imo, it’s probably one of the top 2 mismanaged positions on O right behind the QB position.

Agree its one of many examples of poor utilization. But a) they had different versions of Gomer Pile throwing to them all season and b) it seemed they had at least a half dozen drops a game, every game.

Don’ t write out Ezzard and Payton. They are tough and physical. I think they can both be major contributors. We need guys who fight for thee ball- like Hightower too

If I was OC in 2019 we would be introducing new hybrid positions to get the best players on the pitch.

If and I say if Jarren Williams takes over and he proves to be a player then watch out for Ezzard.

Have we heard anymore on Ezzard and/or Pope dipping? If so, we are up the creek as I think both of them can contribute. I haven't seen much talk of that recently so hoping it was just a rumor or they backtracked.

We could have Michael Thomas,Antonio Brown and OBJ in that room and w/o a QB to get the ball to them or a play that try’s to get the ball to them it doesn’t hardly matter much whose in there.

Another thing, I want Productive receivers out there only so if you ain’t consistently getting open(Harley for sure and pope have had some issues here as well) or if you are dropping passes every opportunity you get a chance to catch a ball(Cager/Wiggins) then you simply don’t need to be playing as much period. You are either coaching the bullsh*t or allowing it... we can’t have another season where our passing game was that terrible yeah the qb play was bad but the receiver play was far from good or even average imo

Spot Brock 🙌🙌🙌

I have no problem having a WR meeting, getting all there press clippings with all there accolades and spread them out on however tables it takes just keep the maintenance guys bringing them in till every single piece of HIGH SCHOOL HERO is spread out.

Immediately in the middle of spirited/ pep talk including a video highlight film I would ask media department to put gethrr of all games and drops let alone running the wrong way on routes.

Then walk them in singl file slowly along those tables with there names indentifying them as say out loud with a MAGA PHONE ....

WHERE FFFFFFFING ARE THESE GUYS WE SEE BEFORE US, THEY ARE SURELY NOT IN THIS ROOM.

We will recruit WR like we should be doing for QB’s loading up every single year till we find WR that can catch and QB’s who can throw and not be on drugs or **** videos.

Close the door and leave them in there for ONE hour so they can talk amongst each other and decide to catch the ball or TRANSFER.

BUT THEN AGAIN ITS JUDT GOCANES05 SPEAKI .

A CANE THING MODT PEOPLE THESE DAY DONT UNDERSTAND

Where do you get a yearly tag of “best wr corps in the country” from “there is more than enough talent for them to be a really productive group”.
Talent on paper yes but come Saturday it disappears time for the offense in all phases to show up Thursday a nd moving forward.

We will add 1-2 more WR before next season but that is a nice group honestly. Wiggins and Hightower have boat loads of potential.
