WR Coach Candidates

SIAP

Maybe Coley is bitter Petrino was hired as OC & wants out?!?

But, could also be bitter he wasn't hired as OC at Miami too

Good speculation.
I would also add Jimbo is in that phase where the Hot-Seat is nearby, so who knows how many years
he has left at College Station....not a good situation for an assistant coach.

I still think Coley ends up in Miami.

I know this isn't a popular take, but I hope it's at TE coach. Certainly not at WR where I love the Hank and Galloway ideas. Yeah, I know. So let me answer in advance...

Who here was satisfied with our TE play under Field? I felt everyone underperformed. All of them. I like Field, but if we can do better, let's do better. Field was inherited from Manny. Mario had him off-field at Oregon. And I know we've recruited TE well, but Mario knows how much was Field and how much was himself and "other," so I'm sure that will weigh in. I can bring in a senior guy and recruiting savage (especially in SFL) who has spent most of his career on the better SEC staffs? Yes, that's something that would interest me. Coley is a beast on the trail.

I’d take all of it.

Hankerson I’m on the fence about because his recruiting chops aren’t established and I think Miami needs to add a Day 1 recruiting stud to the staff.

But pair Hankerson with Coley and it’s easier to take a chance on Hankerson being a recruiting stud.

He's been coaching longer than Hartline and has pro experience as well; not to mention he's a SFL kid from St Thomas Aquinas who made it to the NFL.

Respectfully, there are some things a mouthpiece can't compete with.

Tf?! Sooo he’s forgotten what happened the last time some genius allowed him to call plays here? No thanks

Totally agree, I remember those Coley years here and they were a decline from the Jed Fisch offense. Numbers back that up too. For whatever the reason the local media guys love Coley. Lots of excuses on his failures over here and at Georgia

Did you miss the part where he has already interviewed?
We don't know if he was interviewing for OC or for a WR role. My guess would be OC.

I would be surprised if a guy on a top 3 offensive coaching staff where guys are getting OC roles or HC roles left and right leaves to be a WR coach at the college level. Even if it is his alma mater. Would love to be wrong though.

Hankerson or Galloway. I’d lean Galloway because of his experience working with Dawson.

Sum of the whole is greater than the parts. Familiarity might be more important in this case because last year the staff clearly didn’t click, which ended up causing myriad problems.
And we simultaneously weaken those baby blue cucks known as UN
