I was listening to Furman and that other guy this morning. Coley out. He wanted the OC job not the position job
He probably thinks to this day that halfback pass in the snow was a good call.View attachment 230304
Tf?! Sooo he’s forgotten what happened the last time some genius allowed him to call plays here? No thanks
Too be fair if it would of worked we would of thought it was a good call lolHe probably thinks to this day that halfback pass in the snow was a good call.
Perhaps if they were occasionally thrown a pass. He's a great recruiter but none of the TEs ever seem to get any better with him.
There is also the idea that maybe he prefers to coach in college where he can work with guys and help them develop rather than what a pro coach does. His family did not move to San Fran and are located in the Southern part of Miami. I know this with absolute certainty.
I’ll reiterate what I said previously in this thread or another. He absolutely wanted the job before going to San Fran.
Nope still a bad call. Just because something worked does not mean it was a good call. You had a QB who was playing really well at the time and had driven the offense putting them in position to win. You keep the ball in Kaaya's hands.Too be fair if it would of worked we would of thought it was a good call lol
I still think Coley ends up in Miami.
All I can tell you is that I know he really wanted the job last time around. Granted, this was before the 49ers hired him, maybe things have changed. I have not spoken with the family in a few months so I could not say either way. There is also the idea that maybe he prefers to coach in college where he can work with guys and help them develop rather than what a pro coach does.
If he’s going to be here, hope it’s just at RB.I still think Coley ends up in Miami.
I’ve given him **** for it but it was wide open. DC could also spin it pretty well. Bigger issue was in-game adjustments. Great scripter. Poor adjuster. He probably thinks to this day that halfback pass in the snow was a good call.
In what capacity?I still think Coley ends up in Miami.
Hard to imagine he's going to take a position coach job here after he was gunning for OC. I'd be hesitant if I were Mario if he accepted a lower role. Smells of a potential staff clashing.... and after last year....If he’s going to be here, hope it’s just at RB.
After hearing the Hankerson and Galloway traction, Coley would be a disappointing choice as a WR coach.
I don’t know but I speculate he’ll be on staff.In what capacity?
Not big on Coley but we have yet to see a TE progress under Field. Someone new would definitely make me happy.I prefer Field over Coley all day.
I don’t get the stranglehold grip Coley has over this program every offseason, it’s fckin weird lol
Can heI don’t know but I speculate he’ll be on staff.
Right. If u run a trick play there, IN THOSE CONDITIONS, u let the guy that’s used to throwing the ball, throw the ball. U run the Gattass special…. flea flicker.Nope still a bad call. Just because something worked does not mean it was a good call. You had a QB who was playing really well at the time and had driven the offense putting them in position to win. You keep the ball in Kaaya's hands.
