Should be expected every year. It's a strong trend. Elite or potential to be elite outside wrs don't want to be here. This O will get some slots tho.I know that we have landed some pretty decent guys, but this is still kind of a depressing thread.
Spafford is definitely capable of playing outside. Still need that 3rd wr in this class.I'm not convinced that Vance Spafford is a slot receiver. He could absolutely play outside at Miami.
I guess the knock is height, right? We want a 4/5 star receiver who is strong, fast, and 6'4". I think Josh Moore can become that guy for us.
I agree that the class is incomplete.Spafford is definitely capable of playing outside. Still need that 3rd wr in this class.
Either we pull someone like you mentioned or once again next year we gotta spend big on a portal wrI agree that the class is incomplete.
Hopefully we have another top offense and LSU/Tenn/etc. (other Tristen Keys competitors) blow chunks enough for us to close on ESD.

Any 5 stars in there? Top 5 top 10 rated targets nationally at the position? I don't think many nationally stamped any of these kids as elite dominating #1 type talents on the perimeter.Josh Moore
Chance Robinson
Tyran Evans
All blue chip outside WR's.
I get the sentiment though when you miss on numerous options.
We have heard virtually 0 about Chance. I know he got hurt last year but the total lack of info on progress or health is strange. Physically the kid looks the part, would be nice to know if he is on his way towards contributing or not.Any 5 stars in there? Top 5 top 10 rated targets nationally at the position? The speed is in question with Moore and Chance. They dont seem to be bigger bodies that can really run separate and be explosive. Route runners...high point possession type wrs. Time will tell but we need to start getting outside wrs that are a notch above. Lsu and OSU seem to get them every yr.We have heard virtually 0 about Chance. There was a guy back in the day that played at Miami, he wore the number 47, cant think of his name right now but there was a similar knock on him. He was slow...yet no one ever seamed to catch him and he torched them all, over and over again, made play after play on the largest of stages. All the way to the pro football HOF. Cant over think this stuff, just let them play and we will see.The speed is in question with Moore and Chance. They dont seem to be bigger bodies that can really run separate and be explosive. How many Michael Ivins and Jerry Rice are out there in football today at any level? If your slow on the clock it usually shows on the field. Playing fast is real but there are levels especially at wr. Explosiveness can't be sneaky. There was a guy back in the day that played at Miami, he wore the number 47, cant think of his name right now but there was a similar knock on him.
