WR 1 options?

I don't care who else enters, Marsh is my #1 and I can see him here without double teams. Now Jeremiah would be a different story. I have actually heard OSU is a team to watch for Marsh. We better have already been in contact with his agent.

my impression has been the staff views Mali as WR1 and has committed a lot of resources into these young guys at WR, so while I think we’d like to find a more proven WR to start I don’t see us paying top $.

And I believe D$ said basically the same today. If a big time WR falls into our lap we’d take him… but that it would mean settling for less at other spots.

QB, 2 LBs, and possibly OL way more pressing, but would like a proven WR

Toney is definitely WR1.
We need a portal WR regardless for depth and because you don't want to be entirely reliant on multiple True Freshman having to contribute next season... Ideally an upperclassman who is a guy that can average >16 ypc. I wouldn't mind trying to money ball it, But we could definitely use one good outside WR. Omarion Miller, Either Rutgers WR (I'd go for Strong who's prob cheaper than Duff), Either Clemson WR... Jayce Brown would be a good deep threat. Cheaper options:
- Nic McMillan from buffalo is in portal and prob wont be all that expensive and would probably be a higher floor guy.
- Chase Hendrick from Ohio and his coach just got fired. Doubt he'd be that expensive.
- Keshaun Singleton from USF was a good deep threat. With hartline there now though maybe he wouldnt' want to leave.

If we go for a cheaper WR, It'd be ideal to shake up the RB room (Fletcher Declaring, Lofton moving to RB, and getting a portal RB) and getting a TE1 in the portal (so top 3 TEs are Portal, Schott, and Gilbert, and maybe Mueller comes on). That imo would potentially have a larger impact.

you are really banking on Fletcher declaring, I think 80% he's coming back

I'm not banking on it I'm saying If we want our Run Game to have explosive potential we need a different RB rotation than this year. It's what I'd do. Not neccessarily what I'd expect. However I will say there is no ******* world where it makes logical sense for Fletcher to receive a large NIL package when he doesn't even think he's good enough to get drafted after 3 yrs....

Fletcher is a very good to low level great college running back. Doesn’t mean he will be a great pro. He is team player and from what i have read a good locker room guy.

That is valuable. We should definitely try to keep him
