Not veteran. Elite playmaker who is a yac monster and deep ball, contested catch threat. Anything else will not move the needle.

Why wouldn’t you want him. He has almost 1,000 yards at Rutgers and is a 6’6 athletic freak. Not sure why you wouldn’t want him.

He's not going to elevate our WR room as an elite talent.
He's very good but I don't want to take reps away from Moore and the incoming Freshman unless its a bonafide stud.

Well I believe he is an elite talent and will be one of the best receivers in next years draft class but I do see your perspective on not wanting to take away reps from the young guys.

Big wild card in the WR room will be the 2024 class - it has been disappointing. we all know JJ's issues, Chance is Mr. Glass and Ny Carr is invisible. Lots of NIL tied up with these 3 but they have yet to produce. This will be their 3rd spring with the school, I believe - it's time to see if they stay on or move on.
In the WR group, we'll lose 3 to graduation and you figure 2-3 to the portal.
Definitely need to have a veteran presence. Whether that's a WR1 or another guy who can start, we'll probably need 1-2 guys from the portal.

I think we've done pretty **** well in the portal for QBs. I like our WR pick ups this past cycle as well...albeit not flashy.

We have, no doubt. But we’ve played with fire in going extended time before lockkng our guy down. It’s worked out for us, but that type of luck won’t be 100 percent.
Hopefully after what Cam and Beck have done, QBs will be lining up with proof of concept.
And with a qb in house, we can better position ourselves for an elite WR that would make our offense hard to stop.
Rather have his teammate Coleman. Any chance there? Running four wide with Toney, Coleman, Josh Moore and Upshaw would be amazing.

lock mario in a storage closet, and we go 5-wide Coleman, Toney, Singleton, Upshaw, JMoore and we never run up a centers asscrack again.
