Did Al bail on Joe Rose this morning like he did on Hurricane Hotline? Haven't seen any posts about it.........

That was Robo-Al on that podcast.

There is enough fodder over the last few years that the Sports Information guy can just use a Speak-And-Spell to do these interviews.

Scared of Joe Rose? Of what? Being asked to join in on singing the Air Around The Clock jingle?

No, he did show up.

Sorry about any typos for the usual grammar police that follow...

- they chit chatted about dolphins to start
- mentioned how they didn't talk last week, joe glossed over it.
-al said difficult short week
- lot of energy, played hard.
- duke and Denzel and a few others stepped up
-lots to fix
- everything starts with me, analyze everything. No one made excuses when they dug in
- he went into a bit of Louisville. Discussed red zone failures, kickoff return
-Kayaa- we didn't do good job protecting in game one, whether calls schemes or performances
-he made a few good throws in first couple games
-needs to clean up some of it, receivers need to go after it better too or defend it when needed
- not about sticking it out with Kayaa, they compete every day in practice. Game day demeanor and communication is excellent with Kayaa
- always open competition at every position
- rose asked about right side of ol. Said McDermott playing better and earning more time. Taylor and Isidore played better, whole line needs to improve not just those guys. In the past, need to move forward
- biggest growth for this team should be this upcoming week
-3rd down conversions, rose asked what the problem is. Al said not doing a good enough job overall, multiple reasons from first and second down efficiency. Went into how the first unit was 3of 6. (Hold on while I throw up)
- coley to wofford all need to help. And by coley he meant james
- players were still upbeat after game one, even those expecting to go to draft next spring.
- they know it was unforced errors vs being manhandled (throw up again on my part, hello OL)
-lot if blame to go around after game one
- said yearby duke, Dorset, berrios all played lights out with Brad
-Arkansas state.... They have been good over last few years, they are good this year, played Tenn hard
- ark state aside, lots to fix first.

blah blah sis boom ba

One thing puzzles me. I constantly read that Al throws the players under the bus, then when he comes on and says it all starts with him and he needs to do a better job, etc., etc., etc., the same people complain about that. It would make it easier to tell the players without a scorecard if the whiners could be a bit more consistent. Maybe break up into groups and have assigned whines for each group, just to help keep things straight.

I'm not sure what people really expect him to say.

"Isadora and Gabois got their lunch eaten by Louisville"

"Kaaya looks like a true freshmen out there"

"Coley called a bad game"

"Shayon Green would not see the field at FAU but he's the only body we have at the position"

"Our best defensive tackle was a transfer from Virginia cuz he couldn't see the field there"

"Me and the whole staff are a bunch of bozo's"

It is because he will say it all starts with me, and then blame the players. Poor execution, need to do a better job of protecting, blah blah. He doesn't come out and say, yeah we shouldn't have used a two te set with a walk on fullback in that situation. I have never heard him come out and say we were out coached in that game.

Yes, hold your staff accountable. I do it all the time with my team that I manage.

lmao @ golden being scared of interviews
There are plenty of reasons to bash Golden, but get informed.

Joseph Zagacki @canesvoice · Sep 5 - To clear up any BS.Al Golden was not scheduled to be on Hotline this week. Win or lose that decison was made in June when HL sched was set.

Joseph Zagacki @canesvoice · Sep 5 - If you want to keep score he isn't scheduled to be on during the week of Oct 27th after VT during the bye week win or lose.
