WOW

My guess, these guys are no longer fighting to keep their job. They are fighting for their next job. They can't change the scheme now, its too late.

Imagine their next job interview and the AD asks, well why did you change your scheme after 3 1/2 years of failure. There is no response. By keeping the scheme, they can sell the idea that they never had an opportunity for it to work in Miami because of the cloud and the distractions and the players they weren't able to get from those things. They can say that it worked in Temple (even though it really didn't) but didn't work in Miami for those reasons. And I wouldn't be surprised if some dumb *** AD will buy it.

In Golden and Doritos mind its too late to change the defense. They are gonna sink and ride out that scheme to another job in the future. Its all those two ******s have left.

Wow, just throwing his players under the bus. Good move.

Another problem I have with that statement is there needs to be SEVERAL players around the ball, swarming. Not "somebody"!

LMAO -- im so fkng done with this staff.

Remember everyone: these are Penn state people. Penn state didn't change a single thing in like 80 years. The Penn State guys running our program aren't changing anything about anything. We need new people in here to change anything.

It still goes back to him who's in charge of coaching up the players the defensive staff is crap in all aspect scheme technique these kids regress under these coaches they just get stronger and faster no techniques being learned no scheme being thought, can't believe he said that this is a recruiting punch to the stomach.

Penn State usually had solid defenses under Paterno. I can't imagine they ran this crap. Golden may not have picked it up until he was working for Al Groh. Remember, he was a tight end in college.

I thought I read somewhere its this awful combination of Al Grohs 3-4 with coverages that Sandusky used.

It would be one thing if he was just an idiot, but the fact that he also seems to be an ******* is just really damning.

Thing is swag, it's even better that he's an *******. Being an ******* gets you comments like what the OP posted. Comments like what the OP posted ****es kids off. ****ed off kids quit on their coach. When kids quit, you don't fire the kids. This fool is just sealing his own fate. I hope he keeps on talking.

Yawn... In the meantime Shayon Green is still backpedaling somewhere in the middle of Bolivia trying to cover a WR.

No wonder our defense is getting penetrated.

Definition of an Idiot! Keep doing the same things expecting different results. After all the 400+ games on his defenses he's still allowed to coach. We need the Big Time former players to start demanding change! Get Warren Sapp on WQAM or any local sports talk show and he'll let them have it.

Exactly. There are plenty of incompetent idiots who hold jobs for a long time. It's only when you combine idiocy, incompetence, arrogance, and assh0lery that guys get run out of town on rails. Keep on keeping on, clown corches.

I'm blaming Penn State for the stubbornness, not for the scheme/defense. The scheme was probably picked up by Groh.

A tackle is made every play, what he didn't say was that it can be 10-15 yards down the field or until we run out of field, whichever comes first. So, the defense is working as designed. Better results are optional apparently.
