Did we choke or did we decide to shut it down and let Emory show us how really bad he is. Whats crazy is thank god we got to see Emory because we might have not gone after Beck so hard.

I consider our Defense choking worse and worse each of the last 5-6 games of the year.. so yeah, we choked the end of the season once again.

Again go check where A&M has been ranked the last 5 years before the start of the season. Guess what they choked even harder than us and actually got blown out by us on National TV during that span.

It doesn't seem to be hurting their recruiting. They look like they're about to have another mid season too.

you aren't wrong about A&M, but are they the one outlier? does their oil money get them those classes? not saying the bowl game is the one reason we don't close on top 5 classes, but for 25 years we've had a stink to our program that we aren't worth crap by the end of the season. I'm sure that "stink" is used against us every chance other teams/players get the chance.

The most frustrating part of the season was watching the defense fail to make any meaningful progress/changes at all while continuing to look utterly confused week in and week out. Like, if you're a DC and you CLEARLY can see your secondary - who calls the defense and calls out adjustments - has no idea WTF they're supposed to be doing, don't you dumb that **** down so that you're at least not leaving massive holes open (pause) for the opposing offense to expose?

I agree with the stink the program has had. But a bowl game isn't pushing a kid one way or another. Now if it was a playoff game it would be a different story because you've proven you can get there.

I mean look at UF and FSU. Both recruiting well and both have had a stink in their programs for a while.

Not to keep opening old wounds but if we just had a bad defense we run the table to the Acc championship and if it’s a good game and we come out on the wrong side we throw a massive cog in the post season because of how good our O was.

Literally just have a bad defense. Like one that only get 2-3 stops. Just not zero.

If our offense is 80%-ish of last years and our defense is just “solid” we should be back in the mix. It’s 2025 some every team has a game or two where they are superior anx the other team just plays up and has a good plan….can we overcome that.
