“Jones, 18, participated in UF’s spring game a week after the reports were filed. The Virginia native and early enrollee rushed three times for 63 yards and a touchdown and completed one of his three passes for 5 yards.

I can’t help it. In the context of this article, this made me laugh.

Mullen is a ******' scumbag. Had this kid not decided to transfer I guarantee this **** never sees the light of day. This is 100% retaliation against the kid (who I am not defending in any way) for deciding to transfer.

Isn’t Huntley Johnson in a war with the school?
@flagator86
Huntley Johnson often represented UF athletes in criminal cases and in misconduct hearings on campus. The legal action between Johnson and UF stemmed from a Title IX (the federal law that prohibits gender discrimination on campuses) case involving football player Antonio Callaway. A UF student accused Callaway of sexually battering her. He was never charged criminally and was cleared in the Title IX case (sound familiar?).

Funny how two separate women in separate incidents filed complaints and you don't see that Jalen was the common denominator.

I like you made up the part about "casually" Also hilarious how both the women are whores but the dude in the incident is what? You're obviously a neanderthal.

The second woman told police Jones kissed her neck in the kitchen before removing her jean shorts and underwear. Jones then penetrated her, according to the report, and the woman repeatedly told him to stop.

This is the exact way the incident should've been handled. He's not labeled a *** offender or charged with a crime, they girls aren't dragged by f'n idiots like you, and the kid get's a 2nd chance at a new school.

You are an absolute genius!! I can't believe none of the top criminal justice minds have thought of this before. If two people accuse someone of the same crime than he HAS to be guilty. This could save us TONS of money on trials each year.

Or, the much more likely scenario, Mullen asked the kid to walk once he heard about the charges.

These days if a woman feels used and regrets her actions she will call rape. I'm going to start making these women sign sexual consent contracts.

The fact is, no charges were pressed. I'm not the type judge someone based on the court of public opinion. That's corny.

The "infamous" Huntley is indeed always a go to for our student athletes when they get themselves into shome **** lol. He'd represent a player if they needed a lawyer for a darn speeding ticket
That POS should've been there for Hernandez and Reggie Nelson when both commited a Drive-by shooting........"Oh Wait"......They weren't caught.....My bad...

2 separate incidents in the same night? Pretty obvious the kid was out of control and all parties agreed to move on amicably but somehow there's always some rape apologist waiting around to attack the women.
The report says they walked into the room and started laughing... Huh??

Then it says one of the females got up and started dressing. Why was her clothes off when they walked in the room? Sounds like *** surely wasn't on her agenda.

Jameis Winston must be his idol. Hope he doesn't start stealing crab legs from Publix Supermarkets either.

with sexual assault, when an allegation is made against a man, you are assumed guilty until proven innocent. in todays world, the seriousness of the charge is more important than the preponderance of evidence.

...Brian banks says hello.

It also says She went into Chris Steele's room, one of the people who was laughing at her...huh???

As far as the 2nd incident, it reads like the accuser didn't tell Him to stop until "penetration"...whu???...Him kissing you on the neck & removing your shorts wasn't a clue???

First, Rape kits were performed on both women. That tells us this was perceived as non consensual/forced from the time it was reported. Second, I suspect that because of Jones status as a football player the coaching staff was notified immediately, especially since the head coach and State Attorney speak often. It is also perfectly obvious from the sequence of events that the coaching staff didn't care enough to hold him out until it was resolved. No, they played him in the spring game and it appears he was only eased off the team afterward. notice that he only entered the portal "this month". That means he decided to get out of Gainesville or was forced out only when the story was preparing to hit the papers. I would bet that if U.F. football had kept this out of the papers he would have been kept on the team. Sounds like the same "winning is more important than protecting coeds philosophy that has made FSU so highly regarded. I would be curious to see the statistics for legal difficulties and attack allegations against U.F. atheletes in the last couple of years. The way this was handled makes it clear that females are not respected or protected in Gainesville. Hopefully the N.Y. reporter that covered FSU's troubles takes a trip to Gainesville...

Either a poorly written article, or a poorly thought of story.. Terrible

Sounds like UF trying to ruin the kids image because he chose to transfer. Why would you report it and do an assault/rape kit and then not file charges? The only reason I can think of is because it didn’t happen

If he remained on the team it never would have went public
