Perch probably would be better suited for Nickel than Fitzgerald. Nickel in this defense requires physicality and open field tackling. Fitzgerald looked his best when he was playing deep middle.

Thought not sure Perch wants to play the Nickel role.

I'd be REALLY interested if he can be used as a nickel or not? Only had 58 slot snaps with Heatherman vs 119 this year.

Like if we had Fitzgerald playing single high with Poyser and Perich in that safety/nickel/rover roles.... Could be nice.

Competition makes people realize their ceilings. This would be great for Bryce Fitzgerald. All three would see the field a ton.
