Wow! Koi Perich to portal

1. Perich choose Minnesota over better programs which screams loyal guy
2. If our offer is even close to Ohio state he should choose us as seen by point 1

Qualifier would be since Poyser is coming back, does Fitz feel disrespected if he has to sit on the bench for another year?
Who says fitz sits in the bench, he will be a chess piece you move all over the defense, nickel, deep safety, you play him with the other 2.

Miami has enough talent on roster to just over spend for 5-6 difference makers. Have to refuse to lose to the Ohio States, Indiana, and all these texas schools, LSU, and Oregon. They the new hoes of college football, they want everyone.

If we sign Thornton does this end the Koi recruitment? Are we taking two?

dont forget - we lose keionte AND Jakobe. And it seems every off season Damari is always rumored to be risk to leave. Not sure if our CBs are happy with the rotation, or if they want to be featured more.

Very fair and mature reactions.
Nearly everyone in my family is a MN fan. It was kind of a writing on the wall situation for most of them. Good player, zagged when most every other top rated local kid leaves the state but it’s clear he’s not going to maximize his potential there.

Sucks but that’s the nature of mid level P4 football. Elite players rarely stay for the entirety of their careers anymore. Two years was a big deal for him to stay.

Just curious why he didn’t come here last year when we were signing all these secondary guys.
I don’t think many realize how insanely popular he is in MN. Outside maybe Justin Jefferson, there might not be a more popular football player in MN.

I don’t think he expected this year to go the way it did. MN really wasn’t a good team. He was told he’d used everywhere but someone in his camp has a brain, and realized that’s cool and all but it’s not a viable long term option. IMO at least.

He does a great job of blitzing and inserting into the run game. Also a ball hawk playing deep. Definitely was better in Heatherman's D. Hope we land him.
