Would You Want Ed Reed as DB Coach?

Thats the weird part about this whole thing to me.... And why i said yes to him

What does a Hall of fame DB need to learn to coach DBs? What drills, technique etc has he not been exposed to?
 
And in reference in LSU and ODB and Landry coaching. To me, if they retire as Hall of Famers it means they perfected their craft... And a position coach is tgere to teach those nuances
 
Duper did good things with Hankerson. Reed had good instincts, which you can't teach, but he also knew what to look for on film and during the game, which you can. If he really wanted to coach, he'd have to start as a GA, but not as a position coach. Rumor up here is Hines Ward is going to coach WR's at UGA, which is why McClendon was let go. They don't get along.
 
belicheck did call reed one of the smartest football players in the history of the game so hes got that goin for him...

There are slot of great players that are coaching and doing just fine in their career
In fact some are coaching in the nfl example Ken Norton would you let him coach your
Linebackers (**** yes)
