Would you rather have Manny as our head coach?

Diaz is a better DC than mark has ever been an OC in the past 20 years. So with diaz as HC you know the defense will be good. With the "offensive guru" mark richt the offense is bad. So if the offense is bad then might as well have a defensive head coach. Manny's kids love him and lay it all out there for him. They respect him. Manny is a completely different guy than randy was or Coker was. He'd be an upgrade. He'd hire some hotshot big12 OC and our offense would be solid. If not elite it'll be better than what we got now.

Not with our weak *** schedule we wouldn't. Yall need to pump the breaks on this Manny for HC **** till he proves he can stop a team with a pulse! Fau would be perfect for Manny should Kiffin leaves.

Yes and for 1 main reason. Diaz has proven to be a leader and this program desperately needs one.

I was a big time Manny critic, but this year showed he has the ability to self reflect and change course. I also think he's somehow find a way to use the 15 bowl practices.

Recruiting would take a hit tho. Manny has been very spotty w his evaluations.
 
Its probably too late to get there now even if he tried, but my ideal scenario would have been manny as dc, someone as talented as manny as oc who had complete control of the offense, and then CMR as solely a CEO high level type who recruits, works on donations, provides that presence he has that clicks with so many families and that positive and "right way" aura that is very innate to him and that our program needed after the latest round of sanctions. That would have been a perfect setup, imo. I think we could have killed it with that arrangement!

Manny is a 5 in a sea on 1's but bc he's in a sea on 1's....yall think he is a dime.

His defense was good with this weak schedule and weak offenses but he did his thing....to me, he's still an average coach that needs to hurry and parlay this year into something bigger if he really wants to be a HC.

Yes, Diaz has fire and has now proven he can make changes. Two things you need the most as a coach, passion and the ability to change. I love Richt, wonderful man, but he lacks the ability to change and after looking at him on the sidelines it appears he has no passion left.

I said great job with the program, and while you and your emotional bretheren are throwing a hissy fit because of the record this season, and not factoring in the overall condition and health of the program, people crying as if we were suppose to have a high powered offense this year, this is only the end of year 3, the True transition of this team takes place next season, and that is when you'll begin to see more consistency with the overall team, itll be a more physically and mentally mature team. People going crazy because some gaytors decommitted, if they are gaytors at heart, they went where they belong. Guys like zip is a True Cane at heart no matter where he signs and summerall knows if he comes to UM he'll have a greater chance of becoming elite, he goes to the gaytors, we may hear about him again but not really. Point being this next recruiting class will be one of the best classes mentally cause they not coming in like alot of the bandwagon crybabies did last year, they coming in cause they know they can help to get this team back to being elite again. We are just a consistent punting game and efficient qb away, cause the defensive system and identity is already back in place, so when you factor in the ipf, the s&c program with the nutritional aspect now, new dorms, this program has come along way in less than 3yrs.

My dear fellow cane while All of the points you make are valid! Somewhat! I still WOULDN'T call any phase of the 📙_📗 football program Great ,not at this present time, if u think in the near future it will be ,maybe? But right now, this year, this team, this coaching staff were not Great! U cant go alot higher than great! The📙_📗 has aways to go.

As far as on field play, has it been great, defensively, yes, the other 2 units, of course not, but the one thing that you have seen since coach richt took over are teams that come to play every game. But no doubt, you right, in terms of what you are calling great, but im talking about the managing of the program. On field play, we building towards that in the right way. If you add coach shannon in diaz spot, with the type of recruiting in place now we more than likely dont miss a beat.
