Would you be upset if Ryan Williams starts @ Neb.?

The players did NOT want Kaaya to start. That is my take. When Kaaya was announced, the reactions of the players seemed to be pure shock. That's not to say Kaaya didn't outplay Heaps in practice, but there is more than just who was slightly better in practice.

The players know that you don't throw a true Frosh into the fire, on the road, against a good team like that. If Heaps was even remotely serviceable, he should have gotten the start. He's expendible. A 5th year senior can sink or swim on his own. The important think this year would have been to get Kaaya quality experience and develop him so he's ready to go next year. But all this "f8ck it, just sacrifice this whole season to get him ready for next" is ridiculous. What happens if he gets hurt like RW did? You just ****ed a whole season away banking on the next one, and now you are left with your **** in your hand for a second year in a row.

If RW is ready, AND he is playing at top level for our QBs, I think you can start him, as long as Kaaya keeps getting reps this season.

I say start Williams as soon as possible. ****, ******* start Olsen if he has been outperforming Kaaya in practice. We need to win games, nothing else matters.

Has NOTHING to do with Players Disliking Kaaya. They just understand that a young kid like that was going to handcuff play calling, and was a HUGE gamble in a game like UL. If it had been FAMU it might have been a different story. But game ONE, on the ROAD, against a quality opponent? That was a HUGE gamble and the players knew it. Has nothing to do with wether they like Kaaya, or think he's going to be the next Heisman Trophy winner at QB for Miami. It's just reality. These players want to WIN THIS season, not sacrifice this year hoping to prepare a QB for next year.

If he looks healthy, I'd definitely play him. AG should be trying to save his job/season. Like you pointed out, it was obvious the team wasn't thrilled with the choice. If he isn't careful, he'll lose them quickly.

who cares with this offense. I'm sorry any qb could have tried more plays down field. This was play calling that failed us on Monday.

everyone was pulling for kaaya and now want ryan? lol this fanbase...

want all the success with a true freshman qb but none of the struggle

nowbody WANTS RW. But you can see the writing on the wall. Golden is going to do whatever it takes to save he's job. What does getting Brad Kaaya experience help Golden if he's gone after this season. Mark my words if Williams is cleared by week 4 thats who will be under center.

No question the play calling was atrocious. But the question is, would it have been NEARLY as bad if RW was under center.

We have been hearing since last year, that the one thing RW definitely brought to the table, was that he knew the whole offense inside and out. Much better than even MOrris. So even if he doesn't have the arm, he can manage the offense and hopefully move the chain, would likely give Coley more confidence to not playcall from the fetal position like he's about to pee his pants.

I honestly think that with RW in there, Coley's play calling would be at least more respectable and give us a better chance.

Kaaya should never have been put into the position he was.

Couldn't agree more.

SAY WHAT? Who is "nobody"? Since when? RW was penciled in to be the starter this season before he blew his knee out. I NEVER expected Kaaya to start this season as a true Frosh, and honestly was shocked, and a bit dismayed that he was named the starter at UL. It meant that Heaps was TERRIBLE, but the reality of starting a True Frosh in a situation like that, was a disaster in the making.

I would MUCH rather have had RW start this season, and had Kaaya get some reps, gain his experience the RIGHT way, and not be thrust into the fire because we had no other choice.

They were pulling for Kaaya over Heaps... Not over Ryan. Don't act like the two are connected. Most of us were excited over Kaaya getting the job bc we thought for a second, AG was growing a set of balls, taking chances.

Yeah. Real ballsy. I think letting us wear black cleats was borderline LOCO.

cane4life but Golden was asked about play calling before game said playbook was wide open. Why lie?

Golden will throw RW out there not 100% and it's gonna get him killed. Been saying that before the season started and it will most likely happen against Nebraska.

i'm sick of it being "next year" or "wait till we have more experience or talent"...I want to win NOW. Williams no doubt if not injured would have been the starter, if he's healthy you start him and let Kaaya play in mop up duty (lord I hope we have some of those games).

The season is not lost and what guarantees a full year of Kaaya would make us that much better next year? So sick of it always being next year.

Golden made this decision before choosing Jacory over Steven Morris...let's see this go around. I know I'd rather see Williams at QB in Lincoln than Kaaya- don't let the easy wins against FAMU and Arky state (hopefully) fool us.

**** that we need to win now... if Williams is ready you go with Williams. Brad can sit and watch and also learn... You're asking Kaaya to walk before he crawls... give me Williams.

I don't see that it would even matter if John Elway was starting the rest of the season. You can't fix stupid and that is exactly what Coley is. There is no identity for this offense. The mother ****** calling the plays has no game plan. The dude is not worthy of even coaching an EA sports title.
