Would any of our players start for...

Friday showed what our offense is capable of when they're not shuffling players in and out every series for the sake of doing so. Ride primarily with King, Harris, Harley, Pope, Wiggins, Mallory and let the big dogs eat. Before the season King said his rapport with the starting WRs was good and it looks like that's finally coming to fruition.

The old chicken or the egg. Is Alabama good because they signed the best players or are their players the best because they went to Alabama? My opinion is the former. I’m pretty sure a guy like Jalen Waddle would be awesome regardless of who his coach was. If they could really turn mediocre recruits into star players with their superior coaching, they wouldn’t put some much time and money into recruiting the #1 class every year.
What if I told you Waddle is a Miami fan and never missed a game when he had more free time lol

That’s fantastic.... I was thinking of that exiled board hidden somewhere between the island of misfit toys and the best speakeasy never found...
Lol. I was thinking of Thunderdome too but I think it’s gone.

Headly and Jose B could start for anyone, but there are other excellent punters and kickers. Oddly, Bama seems to have awful kickers. Perhaps they should allocate more re$ource$ to that problem.

Brevin would be in the mix to start at most teams.

I would not be surprised. Their roster is always full of guys who said Miami was their “dream school”.
Lol 100% with him tho it’s real. He begged me for a couple of my old school starters when I was in high school. He did every road to glory on ncaa with Miami. In a lashlee world he would have gave us action at landing him

It’s b/c those guys were on the front lines during the Golden yrs on this board. I came at the tail end of Golden’s tenure and it was an absolute dog fight of ppl supporting a **** poor product. Ppl who joined post 2015 didn’t see the battles on here of porsters defending Golden & blaming players. So yeah, they r a bit jaded.
Ive followed for a while.
I think there was a thread titled “will we be able to afford Golden after this year”
It didn’t age well at all.

Imma be honest gents; I think a lot of our guys would either start or be significant rotational guys. I’ve said from the jump, even during Golden yrs, it’s not the players, it’s the **** poor player development.
This was a good argument back in the day cause the nflu thing. But when our guys get nfl coaching they aren't as good as those Butch players. They either under perform or have to change position or the HC of the players team doesn't know what they are doing.

Woulda been nice seeing him in Orange and green

So is it our coaches suck AND our players suck or our coaches suck OR our players suck?

I can't keep track of who I'm supposed to hate right now.

Well, if u start a new job w no training, how r u going to fare? If u get into the ocean w/o knowing how to swim, how r u going to fare? What I’m saying is that a lot of our guys either getting drafted or making a NFL roster are hella behind the 8 ball. They get drafted b/c of potential & our rep as a school (which is beginning to wane).

Once they are competing w other guys who’ve been coached up prior to the NFL, it’s a wrap. How many of our DLs just know bull rush moves? How many of our DBs don’t turn around? How many of RBs miss creases, or neglect to hit cut back lanes? How many of our LBs are out of position or don’t have the bend to get back into the play? Now; imagine being taught these **** poor techniques for 3-4 yrs of ur internship, and trying to be retaught, retrained both mentally & physically to undue all that **** poor coaching & development once u get to the big leagues.

I hear u
But it's hard af for me to believe that they are not getting taught to run through holes and to not turn their heads around. It's cfb they have to teach them this they just aren't turning around because they don't trust there speed. Dbs were turning their heads around when Diaz and Rumph were coaching Michael jackson and Malek Young.....it's hard for me to believe that they don't teach it no more. It's the players not doing it because they are who they are.

Well that's my take on it
