Would an 11-1 season with ACCCG Win be enough for CFP?

I think so, I think we beat FSU. But honestly VT on Thursday night in Lane Stadium scares me... but if we drop that game but beat Clemson or Louisville in ACCCG, is that enough? I think it's a no brainer... but the committee will find some way to keep us out of it...

Could also easily go 10-2.... ND and VT... just curious

Based on what I've seen from notre dame, I would be greatly disappointed if we lost that game

I'm not concerned with us scoring more points than them. I'm just concerned with them scoring more than us.

If we beat a undefeated Clemson or Louisville in ACCCG then we have shot if there are not undefeated teams around. We have TV ratings going for us but we have desire to keep us down going against us. If Bama and OSU win out and other P5 champs have one loss then we get it. There will be TV $ pressure to take us. The story line is compelling: The U part 3, nice guy Mark, fired with chance for redemption at his own school, OSU rematch, tiebreaker with Bama(we are 1 and 1 in title games). I am sure they will make us play both of them -- two ratings monsters. My supply of Koolaide is not strong enough to make me believe we can take OSU and Bama, but if I juice it up some with good ole bourbon I could get there.

IF we beat and undefeated UL or Clemson, we'd HAVE to be in with one loss. It would be the strongest win on anyone's schedule outside of someone beating Alabama in the SEC title game.

That being said, I'm not getting my hopes up at all. Let's see where we stand after FSU.

Way too many variables to have an honest discussion on the topic right now. Let's focus on Georgia Tech.

No!!! Because undefeated or one loss bamer, Mich, Otaint or undefeated Houston would be voted above us by the committee. If we ain't perfect then we'd have to be considered far better than the other team in consideration for the 4th spot.

Ohio st. lost to a crappy VT team and still made the playoffs in 2014..

No. At that point we've got 1 quality win and a crappy loss, which doesn't get you in the top 4. Unless you're sec.

I don't get how people think we will beat ND, and FSU yet lose to VT. I don't care if it's a short week, you beat FSU then I expect you to beat VT.

Irregardle'ss of anything else, 1 loss acc team doesn't get in over:

13-0 SEC
13-0 PAC
13-0 Big 10
12-0 Big 12
12-1 SEC conference champ
12-1 Pac conference champ
12-1 Conference champ Ohio St.
Any other team currently ranked ahead of us that finishes 12-1 conference champs
And even possibly an undefeated Houston this year

so as long as there are no more than 3 of those

Good chance. A lot of teams will have one or more losses this year. A conference championship win over Louisville or Clemson would go a long way.
