So an OC is fired; so tf what! The 2019 Miami Hurricanes are arguably the worst team in modern history since we dubbed the moniker "The U."

I've been a fan since 87, and I witnessed the 5-6 '97 squad. I've witnessed the 5-7 '07 squad. I witnessed the 6-6 '11 squad. I was with you dudes for the '14 6-7 squad and I can honestly and unequivocally say all those aforementioned teams would easily hang 50 on this 2019 watered down, bootleg version of Miami football.

There were a slew of first, for this squad; whether that was going 0 for after bye weeks, going 1-2 against G-5 opponents, the first opponent to be shut out in the Molasses Moonshine Walk On to Freedom Independence Bowl, not covering betting lines, becoming only the 3rd team and 1st team since 1994 to be shut out in a bowl, or becoming the first team as a P5 school to lose to FIU at our old crib.....you name it, and this team found a way to fck it up.

Golden went 6-7 in 2014, and I would take Golden's 6-7 squad over this 2019 squad any day out of the week. At least in 2014, we faced teams (excluding the FCS opponent FAMU) that went a combined 98-45 (69% winning pct) v. 2019 who went a combined 85-64 (57% winning pct). This 2019 team was historically bad and I thought that would never happen compared to 2018, yet this admin never fails to amaze us.

Players declaring early who have not a chance to be drafted are telling us all we need to know to the dysfunction behind closed doors. A kid is willing to bet on himself than this school or coaches. Firing Enos does nothing for my confidence when you see tweets from Epstein, Lemonis, James. Firing Enos does nothing besides further this chit show into utter diarrhea. As long as Blake is making decision w/ Strawley backing them, as long as this BOT remains in it's position with it's current control, and as long as Diaz is "learning on the job" we will continue to recycle the utter bull chit that's been plaguing this program. We will always be a young team b/c 3 yr players are bolting. We will always be ill prepared b/c we'll have guys not equipped to coach this team. We will always have a culture problem as we continue to hire unproven commodities who accept no accountability or responsibility.

Firing Enos is nothing more than tongue and cheek services to appease certain fans who are blind. I've seen this rodeo way too many times, so unless the real problem is eradicated, the same chit will happen..........it'll just have a little more potpourri sprayed on top of it.

If this squad shows up theyd wreck any of those teams you mentioned. Problem is this team (mostly the offensive side of the ball) quit on their coaches long ago.

Wreck? With the worst o-line in program history and 3 QBs that are proving to be headcases?

Uh huh.

This team just finished with a losing record against one of the easiest schedules the team has had in the last 30 years. I think you are overstating their upside.

97 team would destroy this one and have em literally crying. This is by far the worst team I remember since I started following them in the early 70s. Old school poor team still had Chuck Foreman who would have ran for 200 and four scores easily on this team.

This team barely beat CMU at home 17-12. At 6-7 and having the worst offense in the nation, you can't honestly say that they'd wreck anyone.

Looking back you are probably right.

Its just that 47-0 FSU game that still burns in my mind.

Coker wasn’t a good hc, but he had the goat team, and a real staff and learned from good guys. And still tanked it.

Shannon couldn’t be a hc, but he was a tough player, understood competition and did know how to discipline kids.

Golden was not a good hc at Miami, but he was a P5 player, played at a legit program, and understood the job.

Richt was checked out but did understand coaching and culture, played under Schnelly, coached under Bowden and won often in the SEC.

Diaz is far worse than any of these guys. He didn’t play the game in college, and other than a GA year at FSU, his coaching stops have been undistinguished, except maybe Texas, where he got fired. He doesn’t seem to understand the job, put together a joke of a staff, and has seriously worsened the culture.

It would have been more easy to say that Miami, Florida Hurricane football is... D-E-A-D! But I dig your perspective and all that.

And dig this. Other than FCS Towson St. All of Miami's games will be very, very difficult. Be it at home or on the road. And that includes mighty FSU with their new HC vs. Miami's current HC. OUCH.

Thankfully Michigan St. SUCKS, but that game is up north in Yankee country.

Matter of fact, I SEE-r Vegas setting Miami's win/lost at... 6 1/2 games in 2020. Yikes.
