Worst tackling team in the country per the stats

You practice like pussies? You'll play like pussies on gameday. We are the least physical team I've ever seen. And we don't have enough top end speed to make up for being so **** soft.

Notice how the only physical players on the roster are transfers (Rambo, Stevenson).

The problem isn't the tire drill(Teaching how to wrap and drive through a moving target should be a point of emphasis), the problem is that I'm convinced that they don't do live tackling reps in practice against the scout team, and no one is held accountable for missing tackles. You need things like the tire drill AND live reps in practice. I'm convinced that if Diaz and this staff ran guys until they puked on Sunday for missing tackles, this problem would get resolved in short order. That, and benching guys who missed tackles and playing the guys that can tackle. Unfortunately, that would require competence and that's not happening with this HC.

Not just competence, that would require accountability and holding players to a standard, something Diaz has proven he just doesn't do. Instead we are too busy coddling our players as they're getting embarrassed at home by a mediocre Michigan State. Manny is as soft as they come, and that attitude is reflected on his team.

FFS... stop with the "Canes need to destroy each other at practice to get better at tackling.."

They need to destroy members of the OTHER team...

The donut tackling drill seems to work out pretty well for these guys right?? 👇👇

I was going to say I don’t think it’s the drill or philosophy, it’s the person and staff teaching it

Just temporary though :pgdead:

Football is simple. The most basic fundamentals are blocking and tackling. We suck at both. If you cannot do those two things well you will never be a consistent football team.

Manny loves to dazzle with analytics and advanced metrics while seemingly ignoring the most basic and critical elements to winning football games.

Great recipe to produce a 15-12 record with some horrendously bad losses. We are and will contine to be mediocre and irrelevant.

Since when video analysts know how to teach tackling on the practice field. I’m sure he can show them YouTube videos though.

Gimmick offense, giimick defense, gimmick tackling drills, is anything in this program real?

These drills don't replicate real speed.

If you never play at full speed you'll never know what's going to happen at full speed.

Oklahoma Drills should be a stable at the beginning of practice and at the end. That drill separated the boys from men. Boys will run to the back of the line, men would step to the front. You line up in that drill ***** footing around you’ll find yourself seeing clouds. You want to gauge your team energy line them up in that drill. Those who man up start them, those who ***** up bench they ***, simple.

Manny is on the sideline jumping up and down for simple first down catches, lol.. Its over.. @LuCane remember when dude says he watches film to see who on sideline is jumping up and down, we ****ed up..
He started to lose me completely around that time. Couldn't really believe that's what was considered "analytics."

I've been told they don't tackle to the ground as much as some would prefer. Practice, practice, practice. Been harping on this **** for a while and finally it's coming to light. Anyone can look ok or even good in an artificial practice environment that doesn't simulate gameday.
