It was just a bad game all around. Defense sucked, o-line struggled, cam had 3 turnovers shít was just pure diarrhea.

Guidry needs to sub the LBs a lil more. Kiko and Wes need a few more breathers to keep them fresh.

Don’t start Richard over OJ no more. The kid had been starting up until this point I don’t get playing Richard over him vs vt.

Porter isn’t playing well at nickel. He needs to kick back outside full time. I saw they made the switch late in the 2nd half and had porter outside with richard at nickel

Powell needs to be at nickel until brown comes back. Or try hill at nickel. Give Patterson more burn at safety because the one thing he could do in hs was tackle

A bit of a blur now, but being at the game , it was I believe sometime late in the 3rd Q with VT in the red zone , I am watching Wes and the dude was completely gassed. He just stood away from everyone till VT came up to the line before he walked to his spot.

All I could think was, if Wes has to make a play here ,we are in trouble!

They did stop them once. But VT got bailed out by a bs Frederique PI. But I agree, have to do better on 3rd down defense.

Tackling has been an issue from 1st-game and so has been taking bad angles.
In particular the DBs, who need to make the tackles when blitzing and especially when covering receivers.

We have only one guy who’s a true freshman in our starting lineups, & he arguably was our best defender. lol. We’re actually one of the oldest teams in the P4 on the defensive side of the ball in regards to starters.

Lastly, as competition improves, meaning playing other P4 teams, our numbers are not going to look the same as playing Ball State, USF, FAMU, or that team in the swamp.

There’s already been chinks shown; if fans actually go back & watch games, pause & really analyze, our defense have shown leaks against every team at the 2nd & 3rd levels. The difference have been we played against poor OLs, & our DL was able to mask, &/or we played QBs w/ accuracy issues.

If the DL doesn’t get home, we’re vulnerable. ****, it took our WR, Horton, to make a play on the ball vs. VT as our DBs were well out of position.

In regards to ur UGA comparison, pls don’t do that. lol

Richard is mid as ****. I do not understand how Mario didn’t address the secondary issues in our last recruiting class nor in the portal. I fear it could come back to haunt us in the playoffs.

I’ve been saying that we should’ve gotten 1-2 more DBs in the portal. Between some guys not being very good, or having the experience, we are an injury or two away from being screwed. Really wished we had gotten Ponds….

Brown is hurt (and he hasn’t been that impressive)
Richard has been subpar
DP has not looked too good
OJ has been our best CB so far.

We have to get our ish together now, Cal had a bye week and we know they are scheming to get our DBs caught up… Cam can’t have anymore 3 turnover games, especially if the defense looks as it did on Friday. We really lucked out against VT.
