Miami missed 21 tackles.

Meesh, Alston, Kiko, Porter were the ones who missed 3 or more.

Wesley, OJ, Hill
Tackled solidly best of defense.

It was worst tackling game of Mario
Era, worst since Mid Tenn State.

What was the cause? Short week after playing an uptempo USF offense than ran lots of plays? Injuries piling up? Not focused enough? VT just has horses in Drones and the RB?

I think really it was a little bit of all that. This was uncharacteristic performance from a Guidry defense. It was his units worst tackling game of his Miami tenure.

Why do you all think we tackled so poorly?

Another outside factor i was considering that i really haven't seen mentioned is Hurricane Helene roiling through Central/ North Florida & Georgia. We have alot more players from those areas these days than in past years. I'm sure many of them were concerned about the well-being of their friends & families and that's more than enough to rattle your focus..

there was signs against USF. A lot of the same issues but USF doesn’t have the talent or depth of a VT. The film is out now. Hopefully somebody steps up at some spots and Bain is Moses when he returns. Damari too.

I think we eventually have to give some credit to VTs oline. They did a good job protecting Drones and controlling the los in the first half against our front 7. We flipped the script in the second half though
