Worst rated class for a....

...first year bump of ANY of the failed corches pre Manny.

Spends all offseason saying all we needed was a new OC, then all during season saying we need better players, then brings in the 17th ranked class in the country.

You arent winning **** with classes like this, even if you had actually competent coaches, let alone with Diaz and his army of morons running things.

The Hecht shills are out in force trying to excuse this. The continued lowering of the bar makes me sick.

You are a fool. The # 15 rated class after going 6 and 6-- you should be grateful. Go back to your FSU Board

We won NCs with much worse classes. I know the history. We need to develop players and make sure players have the right mentality.

It amazes me everyday to see what % of fair weather fans this hoe *** fanbase is comprised of. Do they not realize that MIA has been playing CFB since 1926?? Do they not realize what kind of budget constraints MIA is currently operating under?? They're oblivious to these facts because they only became fans during the time period that MIA won 5 NCs. This is severely distorting their perception of reality, and anyone who tells them to temper their expectations they automatically accuse as being a slurper or a Hecht shill. Why do they think spreading negativity & toxicity about their team makes them a more real or true fan? I thought real or true fans are suppose to ride with their squad regardless? Oh and btw..according to avg recruit rating we are currently 12th in the country. That's after going 6-6!

The classes we've been bringing in are talented enough to win the coastal easily. 10 win seasons should be the norm. Do that consistently for 4 to 5 years and you'll move into the top 10 yearly for recruiting. Some of the big fish will start to stay home and then you take that next step to elite.

Problem is we've won the coastal once, have had one 10 win season the past 15 years, and one big win in which we've looked dominant. This program is in a black hole and still pulls in talent 100 other schools would love to have. It's pathetic where we are.

and Shannon went 5-7 his first year. pulled the top class. are you following?

And Shannon was only 4-5 years removed from our last national title, and only 2-3 years from our last top-10 finish. You know, back when we were still relevant.

Not to stick up for Manny, but we’re a helluva long way off from our glory years now. It’s harder to recruit good classes as the years go by and we languish away in mediocrity.

All due respect, but when you're on your fifth head coach in 14 seasons and this program has been on a steady decline since 2005—while programs like Clemson have gone next-level, Alabama still rolls on, Ohio State is as strong as ever (re: even Golden got a home win over the Buckeyes his first season—proof of where OSU was at back then), Oregon is on the rise, LSU is back to dominating, et al.

Less concerned with this class ranking, than if needs are met and if these kids look and play like Canes. Won't know what that looks like for a few years—but if Tyler Van Dyke turns out to finally be Miami's next great quarterback; that goes a longer way than any garbage rankings in December, or even February (when more kids could get on board.)

Shannon reeled in the No. 1 class in 2008—and it had about 38 wide receivers and was full of entitled Northwestern divas (sans, Sean Spence). Didn't recruit for team needs and left a slew of holes on the roster.

**** yo dumbass up, that class was ******. Did not address the needs, a lot of players were ******, and the only reason it was #1 was becuase the class was made up of like 35 players.
And half of them from one high school.

Exactly.

Manny definitely **** the bed year one and grades out at a D- overall—but he's also this program's fifth head coach in 14 seasons and Miami has been irrelevant since joining the ACC all those years ago; one division title and zero conference championships.

The further UM slips into irrelevance, the harder it is to pull out of this thing—but whoever is at the top will have to keep chipping away a class at a time and one player at a time. So it goes. This is the new reality.

Yea u can't win with classes like this
You can win the Coastal with a class like this one. I agree though that you can't win a MNC (holes at OL & CB) and we won't have much quality depth.
Next year is hugely important for the trajectory of the program.

Not with the OL the way it is....if u don't have an OL and can't block... anybody can beat u I don't care what great skill players u have.
