A little hand up accountability project right here. I'll start:

- I was ready to send Keelan Marion to the bench after the Louisville game and ESPECIALLY after the Stanford game.

- I thought Marquis Lightfoot and Justin Scott weren't ready for primetime after the first few weeks.

- I thought we were ****ed at kicker.

Whatcha got? Be honest now.

I was still pretty nervous about our defense. New D backfield, new coach. What could go wrong?

TE needed to step up. Lost some good talent there last year. Cost us, eventually.

End of the year run was refreshing. Getting rawdogged every year towards the end of the year seemed like a hard habit to break. Shows me we're backfilling our talent with potential.

Mario is becoming the dude, good for him!

Right after the SMU loss I'll admit I was very down on Mario. It seemed to me like he would never "get it". It was about that time that the whole "Let it Rip" thing was going around the team and staff and I remember thinking how lame it thought it was. Then a funny thing happened. The team began to gel. Just a bit at first then came the first big clue the NC State game. No Keonte Scott no CJ Daniels and maybe a few others but we opened a can of Woop A$$ on those fools! 41-7. I wanted that shutout so bad!

Girard Pringle gave our rushing attack the spark it had needed all year and I thought he would take Mark Fletcher's job. Then the playoffs began lol. Sorry Mark! You are the man! Keelan Marion stepped up like a man among boys and Malachi Toney did his thing. CharMar Brown joined in and Beck was super solid. Keionte Scott came back from injury like a boss and Toure and Fitz saved the A&M game! Bain and Mesidor literally destroyed every offensive line put in front of them. All that and Mario underwent a metamorphosis. What a ride!

Now, on a serious note:

- Mentioned how we have a lack of care and hunger amongst players that will kick our *** in big games in a DM.

- Was sky high on Lyle and Trader. One is not even RB3 and the other is on another team.

- I wanted Mario fired before the season. My stance has softened on that end (pause).

- Said that we won't win much in November. Well...

There's probably more.

I can’t think of the last time I hadn’t watched a Canes game until the very end. Over all these years, even the 40-0 UVA game, I can’t help but stick it out no matter what. I always watch all the way through.

Maybe it was high hopes for the season or something, but when Beck threw the pick against SMU, I left the room and didn’t watch the rest. I was utterly disappointed. Felt like more than the season was ruined, for some reason it just felt like my last bit of hope drained for the program. I knew we were done.

I NEVER could’ve imagined the run we were about to go on. The most pleasant of lsurprises.
