Worse Coach: Wandy Shannon or Alfalfa ?

randy, beat fsu twice,

As I posted above, Randy played a BAD FSU team. There's a reason FSU fans were chomping at the bit to get Bowden run out of town. The two years Randy beat FSU they lost 6 games each year. 6 losses per year... FSU had 6 losses the last 4 seasons COMBINED. Not a good measuring stick, in my opinion. Had Randy coached against the Noles the last 4 years, he gets his head handed to him by Fisher.

Randy got hired by 2 SEC schools, 1 of those being a rival in the state - can Golden ever work in college again?

I'm going with the fat slob who wore a tie. At least Shannon's defense wasnt atrocious.

Whoopingcane gave me his opinion via PM, and he said-

You suck worse than both:

Alfredo is the W.O.A.T.! He's up there with looser legends such as Faust, Dooley and DuBose.

Only dude that might be worse than him is Muschump, as evidenced by Albomination's narrow escape over the Gata in 2013. Alfredo did his best to give that game away, but Muschump and Driskel were having none of that nonsense.

Randy was a decent coach who will get a head coach job again IMO but he wasn't UM caliber. Al was a freaking Corch . There is literally one good thing about Al's time at UM - He opened up recruiting for the U in my home town ( Jacksonville ) . WE get studs every **** year from here now and that was never the way before Al. I will give him that and only that.

Randy was family and just not up to the job. Golden was a frigging psu shower boy who thought he knew everything.

OP should be forced to massage male meat with his tonsils for posting such a question after a great week of progress by UM

Both were atrocious. Neither will ever be a HC or even a coordinator again.

Both got exposed, then spent their last couple seasons defrauding the program (look at Radio's 2010 recruiting before he was fired)

Even a POS like Muschump gets disgraced at UF, then lands as a DC for a top SEC program, then lands a SEC HC job.

Nobody would hire Radio or Folden for a high school HC job,.

Golden was far worse. Shannon at least tried to change when it was obvious something wasn't working. Golden stuck with that god awful scheme even after years of historically bad results.

Do y'all really like reliving all the misery these two brought upon this program or what?. Let's move forward and enjoy these brighter days. It's like getting out of a bad relationship, to a great one, but you can't help but complain how bad it used to be. Move forward.

Shannon, hands down. Golden had to go, he was unwilling to fire underachieving assistants, but at least you saw that the program was moving forward, he left the program in far better shape than the one he inherited. There's a reason why there was significantly more interest in 2015, than 2010. Golden's organizational skills came in handy, unfortunately he was godawful on gameday, and refused to hire people that could help him overcome that. Miami in 2010 was a nothing job, facilities were in the toilet, Shannon managed to alienate local high schools, despite being a local favorite, and Miami was failing on the field. Despite Al's flaws, at least his hire made a semblance of sense, he had built a solid winner at one of the toughest schools to do that at, and was an up and coming midmajor coach. That said, when it comes to hiring a midmajor guy, it's a mixed bag. For every Urban Meyer, there's ten Al Goldens, or Steve Kragthorpes.

Whaaaaaaaaat?!

How was the program moving forward?! Did you not see the a$$ raping Clemson and mighty UNC dealt to us?

Golden was a terrible recruiter/talent evaluator and kids he didn't offer were seen all over the country making plays at other schools. You don't think Golden alienated local high schools?

At least Shannon fielded a good defense. Only a truly incompetent coach could manage to have a defense ranked in the 100's at The University of Miami, with all the talent we had in our backyard. The offense was ultimately Shannon's demise. They were atrocious and were the main reason we lost that USF game. (which led to Shannon's firing)

The team at least liked Shannon and they played with more aggressiveness and swagger under him. They didn't get their a$$ beat by teams like Pitt. Shannon managed to beat FSU, Oklahoma and a good GT team. We also went toe-to-toe with a Tebow-led UF squad, with a team full of Freshmen.

Both Coaches are new Miami dark ages.. They both are Diarrhea after being in Tijuanna for a party night.
