WORD IS CHANGE IS COMING

I keep seeing people talking about Richts donation to the IPF as a reason for him being untouchable. You all do realize he donated that money to upgrade his office. Read somewhere it will be 2 floors now. Greatly appreciate all he has done for the program but unless me gets an OC and gives up playcalling his contributions will continue to be over shadowed by his playcalling deficiencies. I dont believe the change is coming talk. Doubt the administration has checked him yet. The end of the season will be interesting.

If this is true Richt got Richt fired
1. Stuck with Rosier, when he had a chance to bring in other QBs
2. Didn't bring in a OC
3. Hired Searles who is & has been mediocre
4. Hired his son as a QB coach
 
Being the CEO at a major CF program is at least 2 full time jobs. I hope Richt is realizing he cant do that AND be the OC at this level of football. Its kind of silly when you think about it, even Nick Saban doesnt coordinate HIS defense, and Mark Richt is no Nick Saban. The CEO at Miami needs to be worrying about so much more than play calling, if thats where your heart is, then resign so Miami can hire a HC. I can not believe Blake James is allowing this to happen. It really goes to show that Miami needs a Director of Football Operations to help and sometimes bypass the AD, because our AD needs some serious help. Our AD is letting the FB coach do serious damage to the program right now. He's going to "let this play out," in other words, Richt has enough rope to hang himself with. If you were responsible for any business, or program, or team, or operation, why would any member of your unit be given enough rope to hang themselves? Thats not good leadership/management. Enough rope to hang yourself is just asking for people to hang themselves, and where does that leave you but screwed?
 
Rick was riding into retirement when Miami begged him to come back. Urban Meyer is talking retirement. It would be a bad look for Miami to fire Rick at end of season and hire Meyer right after. Pull trigger now, fire Rick, Diaz as interim coach, pay Meyer whatever you have to. Think about it as, "family member has terminal disease, but there is a new procedure that has a 99% success rate but costs $9 million." I'd rob multiple banks if I had to and sell spare organs (maybe even ones I cant spare). Take out a home equity loan on the IPF and pay the man.

any other program can get away with his bs, but the NCAA is gonna expose meyer in his first year if he comes here

Yeah I'm sure that's what it was, that we didn't want him. The only coach on our staff that anybody in the country would consider elite, but we didn't want him. The greatest mind in college football today wanted him, but we didn't. Makes perfect sense. Well, we'll see if "money isn't an issue" with whomever it is we hire next. Hopefully he'll have a little more sunshine for you.

I'd say it's referenced less as why he SHOULD stay here and more as reason that the admin is not likely to can him anytime soon.

I don't think it's necessarily BS to think that staff changes would be coming, but it's unrealistic if you're hitching your wagon to Richt being shown the door.
