Or when a 5 star quarterback, who hasn’t lost in HS yet, says he wants to accept your scholarship offer, you drop communication with everyone else.

I do believe they liked Davidson, Boroque and Mencl — and even moreso the possibility of a Neiman Lawrence reclassification or Seaborn flip post Elijah Haven commitment to ‘Bama—better than Monds; still, we just landed our third elite 11 quarterback in a row.

With Knox in ‘28 already committed, we are prioritizing CJ Cypher in 2029. We are not moving like a portal or die program in perpetuity.
 
He is a big talent. I just wouldn't take a QB reclassify, personally. I would have loved to have gotten him next year. Good luck to him at ND. I won't be surprised if he is a beast in 2 years.

This appears to be a permanent strategy of Freeman’s. He has done it with 2 of their most recent 3 qbs now; including Monds.

He tried to get CJ Carr to reclassify as well.

I think someone previously said vero looked better on offense when monds wasn't in, not sure if they meant one game or season long
 
ESPN with a headline about this today.

Other than the usual ND BS, why would espn need to write a story about a 4 star QB? No other reason. it’s the typical nonsense from a garbage organization.
