Wonder why?

The title of this thread made me curious-now I'm really curious- you are trying to ask what? Work with me, viejo- do you want new coaches, different qb's, more RB, or a new 12 pack? I can help with the last one.

We brag about our RB room and Butch had a plethora of RB and used all of them to wear teams down to let us dominate late in the game, why not now? Why not in the NC game? And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my pet peeve about the lame coaching, we have as special team’s advisors and coach, why? (Especially since we lost the NC because of a ST flub).

I see all our talent and only a few get real time plus I love special teams when they are special. Blocking a kick generates excitementt, a long return for a TD does too. Field Goals are ehh, compromise score unless it wins a game. Aussie punters have made that boring...are any of them going to fake punt? I want SPECIAL back...what gets replayed the most in highlights. A return for a TD is like a baseball home run, the further the better. I wonder if our special teams coaches will use Hesters kid Drayton on returns when he becomes a Cane in 2031. The Devin Hester at Furman is not his kid, Junior is in High School is not into football

I'm a firm believer that you have to earn your playing time no matter when it is. Coaches don't just play guys to play them

No offense, but I'll take boring if our Australian punter is kicking, all day every day. But to your point- I don't know that we have had the depth to have a return guy like Roscoe or Kevin Williams (there's only ever going to be one Hester, unless his son inherited something special) to team up with Toney. Keep in mind Toney did return punts last year, and he's always a threat to take one to the house. For blocking kicks- I'm guessing, but I can see favoring a return game over a punt block attempt- we're almost guaranteed to get the ball back without a penalty that extends a drive if we're setting up the return. I don't really have a better answer, so hope that helps.

While this is mostly an absurd post I do think we underutilized CJ at times last season although I believe he was playing through injury
