Wk 5 Games

Not with 2 minutes left and your opposing team has all timeouts and your defense is a Lincoln Riley coached team. I know that's not his side of the ball but it's never been good
Tip of the cap you were right to have no faith in booty juice USC defense

So, someone who knows the rule book better than me may have the answer. But on those fire drill field goals that GT does, do they not have to hold and let the defense also substitute? It seems like they just set the ball and bail to let them get the kick off but they’re subbing **** near the whole team out.

Can't assume a flag will be thrown.
Exactly.

Play to WIN the game. Get the first down. Extend the drive. Bleed the clock. WIN.

Not to take advantage of something subjective, relying on ACC officials to do the correct thing.

WR was wide open for the first down. Its more important to the QB to get a big play.

Wrong mindset.

I just didn't think they would throw a 20 yard route coming out of the 2 minute warning. That's probabky why they did it to catch them off guard, but yea.

That or he doesn't know ball. Literally what QB's are coached to do from Pop Warner on. Calls like that should be reviewable. It's not a judgement call, he either is or he isn't offsides. And he clearly was.

Tell me the advantage of throwing the ball there.

I said this last week after the ref blew that Marty Brown TD that it is not a missed call when the ref is standing right there. It is flat out cheating and that is what WF got today..............cheated.

These guys are acting like it's the first quarter. Sure, take a shot on a deep ball.

technically speaking... yea that might be a loophole. You don't have to rush your substitution to just for the offense.

If that particular ref was "cheating", why would he wait until that situation?

LOL every illegal stream has just gone "Yeah you can read about the result of this OT game in the papers tomorrow, we're off to other games."

These refs in the Washington vs Ohio State game are ***. This is crazy. Sideline warning penalty without even giving a warning first.

It's kind of a damned if you do damned if you don't situation cause of how bad their defense is. Mess around and bleed clock and don't score a TD and Riley is getting criticized. Do what they did and lose on FG and he'll get criticized.

So glad Coach doesn't have to consider similar pretzel logic hypotheticals this year, because our defense isn't awful any more.
