Kelly had already left Oregon when the NCAA concluded its investigation of Oregon's improper coaching conduct. However it did put Oregon on three years probation with scholly reductions but no bowl ban...Since Kelly was the center of the investigation the NCAA leveled him with the Show Cause Tag and 18 months probation to the next school who tried to hire him in the event he came back to a college campus...In other words he's probably done as a college coach because of the difficulty in hiring him along with the sanctions that would follow him...

I think his show cause expired in Dec 2014.

Even if it wasn't expired by 2014, it surely would by Dec 2015

It ran from June 26, 2013 until Dec 25, 2014. He's good to go right now.

Unfortunately, any "show cause" penalty in the past rules him out as a potential coach at Miami. If Butch is too tainted for this school, so is Kelly.

Believe what you want, but if this ethics police **** doesn't stop, we will continue the irrelevancy train once Folden is long gone.

Don't give me the NCAA is watching speech either. Alabama, FSU, Ohio State and the like do what the f-k they want while covering their tracks, and they also have sanction history.

Time to stop toting this Shalala baggage about reinventing ourselves and paying for our past sins. We are the only ones adhering to such nonsense.

Bring back Butch for half the cost and the same results. The State of Miami will be united again, the fan base will be united again, the alumni will feel free to roam freely again, tuition fees can increase since every kid would want to associated with the cool school....why doesn't this make sense. Ray Charles from the grave can see this!
