I'd say that is the minimum standard of acceptability.

UNC and VT are crap. You can keep telling yourself that they are good teams, and CMR needs years before he can match wits with Fedora and Fuente, but you are not being honest.

I called it earlier today and I'll call it now - we WILL win the Coastal next year. After that, it's anyone's guess, but we will win the Coastal.

Calling Virginia Tech "crap" is ridiculous. Their coach is the real deal. Acknowlegding that says nothing negative about Richt or Miami.

We need another playmaker on the outside besides Richards assuming Njoku bolts. If not, Richards will be double covered all season. Hopefully Cager recovers fully and can help, Mullins steps it up, and Berrios gets involved more next year. I'm also intrigued by Herndon and his abilities. He's not Njoku, but he does have some skills that will help us.

Defensively this will be our best front seven in quite some time. Excited for what these guys will be able to do.

The Hokies will be good again. But we get them at home next year. That will be the game for the Coastal title. UNC will be breaking in a new QB, and loses their best skill position players, and Pitt loses almost everything. GT will also be breaking in a new QB, and their whole d-line. It's out there for us to grab. We just need to do it.

I'll be on the fire Richt train. Or at least I'll be on that train that Richt should have to win the Coastal in 2018 to avoid being fired.

Depends on how the season goes for me. For instance, if say VT jumps up next year and literally goes undefeated, including beating us, but we still win 10 or even 11 games, I won't be calling for Richt's head just because we lost out on the Coastal again.

Now, if we go 8-4, and say VT goes 8-4 and they win the Coastal because of some tie breaker or something, THAT's unacceptable.

I think worst case scenario where Richt still gets an out is if we go 9-3 in the regular season. As much as it would suck to not perform better, you could point to improvement by one win and if he wins his bowl game (in this scenario) and they go 10-3, that would be the 1st 10 win season since, what...? 03'? That would be acceptable.

Bottomline is, he is expected to win the Coastal and if it takes him his 3rd season to do it, that's not as fast as we want, but it is reasonable. Or to at least play for the bloody thing in 3 years minimum!

I've gone on record a couple times saying that we win the Coastal next year. Hold me to it if I'm wrong, but I believe we're set up to do it. Also as I've said, I don't know if we win the ACC next year, but I do predict we win the Coastal.

Fuente is a stud.

VT is gonna be a problem for many years to come.

they lose Ford and that TE so we should be fine

Ya they lose their 2 best weapons but that QB is legit. Fuente can coach and Bud Foster is one of the best in the business. Having them at home and hopefully not on a Thursday will be the difference in the game imo

stop saying that, your gonna jinx it, in fact we wont win it just because you said we will

If brad comes back I expect to win the conference. Not just the division. With what we have back and what everyone else is losing, that shouldn't be that crazy of an idea

I wouldn't sleep on VT with fuente, i picture their offense improving moving forward, and bud foster will find a way with his defenses.

I could be wrong but it seems vt always get matched up with the worst teams from the atlantic, hardly ever see them have to play fsu or clemson, then in the coastal their main rival uva is complete garbage. not making excuses but it seems they have an easier path to the acc title game and miami always has less room for error. playing them on short rest, on the road with a bunch of injuries made them look better than they were.

If we can get to the ACCCG next year we are in for a fun run bc the recruits will be lining up!

Will have the IPF ready for 2018 as well.

True but they do play Clemson next year. Clemson is losing a lot of talent, though.

They finally get Clemson next year in Blacksburg, and at Florida State in 2018.
