Wiltfong's On3 Cane CBs/Expert Predictions (aka Fong Bombs)

I’m starting to think Fong makes an early Miami prediction to notify the other finalists.

Seems like Everytime he’s involved early we lose the kid.
Lulz, he is involved with every highly rated kid for every school. He is head of recruiting for 0n3 and previous to that held a high position at 247?

How’s 27 looking right now? I haven’t followed high school recruiting lately.
Looks like we big game hunting again. A lot of talent down here are national recruits. We fighting the big dogs for a lot of recruits at the top of the board but I think our class will be small until senior film comes out so expect a lot of complaining and whining from the usual board saddies.

I like how we prioritized senior film last year. I also think it helps us land players at a discount, since a lot of schools burn their budgets early and there’s less bidding for late risers.

I hope we can lock down Matthews, Lennear, and Thompson early, and then focus on late bloomers. But like you said, these guys have every program coming at them hard and are going to be tough recruiting battles, so the process may drag out. People should be prepared for that.

It can pay off for sure but comes with its risks. We really leaned into it this year, let’s see how it pays off.

Pretty sure we will see a split approach I think Mario is gonna throw that big *** national championship type run elbow and try to lock up some big *** huge names that rocket us into the top of the rankings while at the same time benefiting from the watching senior team approach. hybrid withtop 5 goal

it will be our best class in 20+ years

First, they said we had to win the state, then make the playoffs. We did all that, then we just vanquished 4 top 10 teams. We just played in a National Championship game, largest audience in years. Bama is dead, and Hartline left OSU (2 old recruiting obstacles to overcome).

They also said, develop players, put people in the league…we did that. “Oh we meant first rounders”…and this year we could have three 1st rd picks.

The proof of concept is there, and the reasons/excuses for talent leaving Miami that these “handlers” would leak out (playing in big games, winning, development) have all been answered.

With all this, I agree we should expect the best recruiting class in long time. We’ll see if the SoFla talent shows Miami the love the program deserves.

Mario brought guys like Francis and Bain when we were a punch line in this sport. He sold dreams and now he can sell the real deal
