After writing all fall I like Miami’s position for the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle prospect Mark Matthews, I’ve gone ahead and logged the prediction going into the New Year.

9/10 I’d say I wouldn’t even want a kid of his profile committing to us that early but him and his family seem like professionals with his pops having been in the league and dealt with this previously. Of course that doesn’t mean he can’t ever decommit or anything but I doubt we see silly shenanigans bull**** from him/his family. Let’s get this done, would be a helluva statement.

I remember seeing a story about his dad and how important Richt was to him when dealt with a freak injury thing. Seems like they’d value a relationship with the coach who is coaching his kid. Maybe JT was able to build that. Because that’d be a **** of a pull to take an in state legacy from UGA, especially with their run on DL making the league.
