Willy was all world and couldn't play a lick. You never know.

Y'all can't get too high or low over one dude. #6 is an OLB. Dime a dozen. Get dudes that
Want to be canes. Golden set the tone yesterday.
Over half of every top 25 class will be bust or jags.
Core of the team is there. Those young dlineman that got pushed around will be fine.
Just like E Reed Wayne Moss all took their lumps their first 2 years here.
It's part of the process. Chill the f out.

To say that 6 is "a dime or dozen" is pure and utter lunacy.

He is a game-changer in every facet of the game on defense. If there's one "surefire" recruit that we had on our radar this year, it was definitely him.

Uggggh... the only thing worse than losing the commitment is the 'sour grapes' attitude that follows.

Get real.

I recall people making similar threads about Patrick Peterson...Corey Luiget...

We went 23-16 while they were in school and went on to be first round draft picks.

Let's not do this.

Thomas is an absolute stud recruit and will most likely develop in to a guy that could go in the first 2 or 3 rounds of the NFL draft. We always dog FSU and other fan bases for their meltdowns, but we are the MOST guilty of it. Everyone we don't get all of a sudden isn't any good, and everyone we do get sucks too by the time next year rolls around. That is stupid.

Thomas is a stud and the best player in the state. Kirkland has the potential to be a stud. So does Bryant if he gets his head out of his ***. Bostwick looks like a potential first rounder. Coley is the best receiver in the state. Grace is the most underrated player in the state, except for maybe Alex Collins. Rashard Robinson has the highest upside of anyone in the class. Where they end up signing doesn't change that.

you wont see a LB similar to Thomas for another two years, especially the fact that he goes to Booker T. He isn't just another LB,

Yeah, and "sure fire recruits" that have not been all that are also a dime a dozen.

Remember when DJ Williams was the best recruit in the history of the world??? John Madden even said they kid was ready for the NFL at 18. LMAO, he got here and couldnt even crack the rotation at LB his first year, and had to play as a back up FB. Remember when James Burgess was going to be the next all world LB here? Willie Williams is another one who was a "cant miss" recruit.

You never know man. That's the bottom line.

Yo, we don't need to dumb down 6 to be able to move on. We are coming off of a great recruiting class and this one will also finish in the top 15.

6 is a phenomenal football player. He's a once every 5 years type of talent and we are moving in the right direction with or without him. The two lines of thinking are not mutually exclusive.

6 is a great high school player. Y'all have no idea if he will gain wight, if he will be able to play in a designed scheme,
Or play at all on college level

No one is dumbing him down, just being realistic. Every year there are kids who are just going to be the "cant miss" super stud, 5 star blue chipper of the universe, and many of them dont do jack sh8t, or they just have good careers but nothing extraordinary.

Jon Vilma was a f8cking 3 star kid we brough in here, and he was an after thought when dudes were slobbering all over who FSU was signing and all these other cats. Look how that turned out. YOu just never know.

There is NO SUCH THING, as a "cant miss" recruit, if there was, Texas would have about 50 MNCs by now.

U never know. Lbs like 6 are everywhere, **** Grace could end up being same **** player.
Grown men who lose their **** over recruits are a joke

Unless, you know... he isn't when he gets here? Like Kyle Wright, Willie Williams, Reggie Youngblood, Chris Walsh, Bryan Fortay, Cameron Binion, Marcus Forston, etc etc etc.

Nothing is guaranteed in recruiting. **** the NFL, with four years of college tape, ESPN and ABC, combines, workouts, wonderlics, etc miss about 50% of the time.

Now project that to 17 year old kids that you have a limited amount of regimented exposure to. The misses are all over the place.

This takes NOTHING away from Thomas as a prospect. He's elite- as a PROSPECT. Certainly not a "dime a dozen" type kid. But until he proves it in college, you won't know if he's going to be just another big time bust, or a kid who plays to his clippings.

And oh, while we're jocking him, that 2 or 3 star kid in the class that no one cares about may be the next Ray Lewis, Jon Vilma, Santana Moss, Joaquin Gonzalez, Russell Maryland, or Mike Sullivan, etc.

One year we took all these "star recruits" and Clint Session and Hb blades were right there and not recruited.
And they proved to be better than all the turds we rolled out
