Wilfork had to do less. He play with a defense full of nfl studs. Willis wouldn’t even start on that team

That’s laughable. Willis May not have started over wilfork but he would have started over that other Dt..
 
I'll always have a soft spot for Willis when he took a shot at Rapeis when he played for Florida.
 
If Norton and Mac stayed for their senior seasons, do you all think Willis would have came back after his year long hiatus?

Where did I say that?

One defensive system relies on complete havoc, didn’t realize a simple cover 2 that Shannon runs relies on splash plays in a consistent basis

Shannon's D averaged 110 TFL and 38 sacks from 2001 to 2006.

Manny's D averaged 118 TFL and 40 sacks from 2016 to 2018.

Did you watch much CANES football from 01 to 06?

Our defense LIVED in the backfield.

Oh I love rewatching that game so much. Marcus Vick is a shrimp**** and the d beat the living **** out of him.

I don't think they get Tito if Norton and Mac came back.
 
He's just not that good.

Franchise said it best...the splash plays made you think he was a different player than he was. He tested like a near non-NFL athlete. The red flags were all over the place for him. He got a couple of chances...didn't capitalize on them...

At the end of the day, it is what it is.

so the much more talented defense with all conference/all American players averaged less TFL/sacks then a defense who’s best player couldn’t get drafted

Simpson knew Willis was not worth taking even in the late rounds. He has had a couple chances and cannot play the the NFL level. Yes he had a good senior year in college but that does mean success at the next level.
