Willie Williams and Kenny Phillips High School Highlight

It's sad think of what became of Willie Williams. He looks like a stud in those clips.

hes turned it around. currently is a personal trainer and is working with alot of the young kids in the area. Hes a part of the STRONG ARM team (Rapper Flo Rida ).

Still believed he was ****ed by Randy Shannon. Dont think their personalities ever fit...he played Glen Cook over Willie...thats all you need to know.

He should've picked FSU.

naw...randy should've played him...and he shouldn't have listened to the boys around the way crying about his pt in his ear.

Beason said he would purposely miss assignments or plays to get Willie burn in practice.

As for KP, those knee injuries ruined his career. He was well on his way before it started. Was his best year and Giants went all the way to the Super Bowl that year too. Was following our Pro-Canes very closely that year, what could have been man.

Wasn't the issue with Williams that he couldn't learn assignments? His highschool coaches just told him to chase the ball like Bobby Boucher and he never had any actual responsibilities beyond that? At least that was the excuse that Shannon's staff gave for him not playing.

Derrick Thomas (RIP) would've been the perfect mentor for WW...both extremely talented HS players with the same problems growing up.

LOL...what, the staying outta prison assignment?...LOL. Lotta things you can blame Randy for, but you can't blame em' for WW's self destructive behavior. WW's lucky to even be alive, because in today's climate, that redneck that walked in on Him breaking into His house in Kentucky would've shot His ***.

I meant the reason he didn't get on the field on defense. I could give two ***** about his personal life after UM.

Redneck?? Ft. Mitchell is about 5 miles from downtown Cincinnati so these "rednecks" you speak of aren't anywhere to be found in that area lol. Beside no one caught him in the house. He was caught on the homes video surveillance cameras

Shannon was a rigid idiot. You don't sign a raging thoroughbred like Willie and try to turn him into an automaton.

LOL...somebody was home in Ft. Thomas though!:

In nearby Fort Thomas, police were investigating a similar crime.

On July 1, a suspect entered through the rear door of a house that appeared unoccupied. When confronted by the homeowner, who had merely been upstairs, the tall, black man with the thin mustache claimed to be a salesman. He pointed to his name tag (W-I-L-L-I-E) and his stack of papers. When the resident threatened to call the police, W-I-L-L-I-E bolted for the door and drove off. A neighbor heard the hubbub and scribbled down the license plate number.

This car belonged to a person who lived in Edgewood, Ky.

He was neither tall nor black nor sporting a thin mustache. His daughter, however, was dating someone who fit that very description: Willie Arthur Williams—former college football player, current fitness center membership salesman.

Kenny Phillips was going to be the next great canes db in the NFL but his career was cut short due to those awful injuries

he iant lying. thats my boy...and we all grew up with willie. Beason wanted to slide over in order for willie to play the spot he wanted to. Shannon was on his stubborn sh*t...and had favortism for glen cook.

KP is our last safety with legit range..a beast

That was a lie. He played at Pace and got good coaching. then finished up at CC for walt frazier with some good coaches. Randy probably would have played romeo davis over willie. that wasnt his guy...wayyy to mych hype for randy.

Willie is an intelligent guy on top of all that so he very easily could have picked up Shannon's basic system. Shannon preferred guys like himself at LB. That's why guys like Cook and Davis played so much.

Shannon played Cook, an inferior athlete because Cook had a **** clue what was going on. Willie screwed himself, by not only refusing to adjust to the college game, by being a complete knucklehead off the field. He was given second and third chances, and still managed to blow them, I'll never understand why people jock this guy, he was an idiot that blew a ton of talent.

By the way, there is a difference between being football IQ, and overall IQ. Willie was a physical specimen that just couldn't get out of his own way.

Shannon wasn't trying to turn him into a robot, he merely wanted Willie to be more than the guy that would make a big play, and then give it right back by being out of position, or by doing stupid crap. Say what you want about Shannon, he didn't have a problem with guys like DJ and other LBs that were athletic as ****, as long as they had a clue of what they were doing. If you are going to be undisciplined on the field, at least try to be disciplined off of it.
