I hope they continue to lose but at least Taggart put the Team ahead of his own ego.

I hope Richt see's this and can do the same. Richt has to look around him and see what was a Promising Season is now a team that is underperforming. This team is Drowning and someway, somehow Richt has to Throw them Lifeline. .

Yep, he will.. to his inept son

That's pressure. 1st year HC has to relieve playcalling duties and the only difference between our two teams is one point. We aren't even sure if our administrative will force Richt to get an OC

Midseason who would Richt hand it off to? Thomas Brown?

Nope - he's part of the problem as well. The 3 headed monster of Richt/Brown/Richt is causing this offensive ineptitude. I'd throw in Duges in there as well, but less so than the others.

This won't be popular opinion, but I'm quite confident that if Richt handed over a blank canvas to Brown and lil' Richt and said, "devise an offense," the result would be a **** of a lot different than what we're seeing. I'm not saying it would be any good, but it would be a lot more modern. After all, it was someone's idea to bring in Helfrich, it was someone else's decision not to use a **** thing he said. I can guess which was which. We're calling plays from when Richt was a newlywed, those aren't concepts anyone else on the staff would endorse as the base for an offense other than Richt. The 3 heads concept has elements of truth, but it's far from what, or who, drives the output.

Brown spent 8 years with Coach Richt, 1 year at Wisconsin, 1 year at Marshall, 1 year at a FCS school, 1 year with Mike Mularkey, 1 year with Brian Daboll (OC for the Bills), and 1 year with Rob Chudzinski. His biggest college influences are Richt and Wisconsin. He isn't the guy to bring us into 2018 either.

Lil Richt and Brown are extensions of Mark Richt. He is their football mentor and they fall under his coaching tree. They are green as **** and follow the principles Richt taught them. Manny Diaz can hire green hard workers because he knows how and why his defense will succeed in 2018. Richt has no clue, and the guys under him have all coached or played with him before. They are not the guys who will change things.

My theory is that the garbage we see now with the bunched pistol read/zone stuff is brown driven. The true RPO stuff we were running in the latter half of 2016 is Richt's. Pure speculation but that's what my gut tells me.
