Williams vs. Manning

Interesting conversation I had with a friend of mine, who is a big contributor to UM, but he's very connected to the University of Texas. through his Uncle. I'd guess his uncle has probably given $50 Million to UT. (He was one of the guys who paid up so they could get rid of Charlie Strong)

My friend was a pretty good player himself in college, and I trust his judgment. He's had a chance to see maybe 3 or 4 UM practices this spring.

He was at the UT spring game in Austin and told me:

"Arch Manning is talented, no doubt. But right now, Emory Williams is more developed as a QB and a better player. If you didn't know the names on the back of the jersey, it would be pretty clear who you'd pick if you were recruiting them both"

I've been high on Williams since Miami recruited him. Seems like a really sharp kid and diamond in the rough with a lot of upside.

Won't go as far as calling him the next Ken Dorsey, but his trajectory to UM, his football IQ, his maturity—kid really seems like he has the potential to be a special one.

Emory gonna be way better than Manning
Which one?

Archie?
Peyton?
Eli?
Arch?

All of the above?

Hopefully he does great. Of all the QBs recruited the same year as TVD only 2 out of the top 12 pro QB and 3 of the top 12 duel QB are still at the same college that they signed with out of high school.

I've been saying it since I saw him play his Sr. yr. Just how he carries himself in regards to his film-study, and his maturity off the field as well.
weird you've said this multiple times in the last few days but a search on "Emory" and your profile shows nothing.. CIS biggest clown

Eat a D*ck @RVACane and several other Mods will attest I've ranted and raved about him since last yr. A close friend lives in Navarre FL close to Milton. When I went to visit him last yr I watched Emory play. I've got your clown below my waist F-boy.

The bleeding c*nt Go Canes insinuating that I didn't rant about Emory last yr, as you know I did. But of course this trouble making puzzy can't keep himself from running his D*cksucker.
Well, he did insult you first with the clown comment so there’s that and I’m done going after retaliators who are responding immediately to first blood drawn. I do not remember every praise of every player though I don’t doubt you in the least. If you guys want to do battle, @UrineDaloop can host it in Purgatory.

I’m quite busy right now.

I'm busy as well as you know. But to say I wasn't handing out superlatives about Emory last yr is being disingenuous.

Emory Williams:
Leadership of Roger Staubach

Arm Talent of Aaron Rodgers not to be confused w/ A-aron Rodgers

Scrambling Ability of Michael Vick

Pocket Presence of Joe Montana

Gutsy like John Elway

Extends plays like Patrick Mahomes

Winner like Tom Brady

And I think we’re still selling him short after One Spring Game. TVD watch urself.

For a little while there I thought this place had gotten its sunshine pumping habit under control. But after a run on lower ranked commits, its back to our stuff is stuff, your stuff is ****.

Tbh, I think Emory is the game manager that Mario always wanted, and he's destined to start. Yay.

But people are setting themselves up for disappointment with this sunshine pumping ****. They're expecting "Emory the great". And if he doesn't reach their over the top expectations, he won't exactly be popular around here. Not just Emory either. It applies to all our players.
